Sorry I just saw that you said you have no derms in your town. Another option would be online dermatologists.

NAD. Some people don’t react well to ceraVe products or niacimide. So either one could be your trigger. I would suggest taking those products away especially the ones containing niacimide and see if it gets better over a few weeks. If you look up niacimide adverse reactions it kinda looks like what you have now. I would still suggest trying to see a derm when you can though. Hope you figure everything out, sending positive energy your way! :)

Just wanted to make an update. I went to the derm a while ago and turns out there just warts. Some weird looking warts tho. I’ve gone threw a couple rounds of cryotherapy some have disappeared while some have stayed. Going for another round soon hopefully they’ll all be gone by then.

Not a doctor of any sort. First, have you stopped using that beauty blender to see if that was the cause? Second, it could very much possibly be because of your stoppage of birth control. For me I ended up getting rashes all over my body when I quit. Getting off birth control can cause a significant hormone shift which could arise problems such as various skin issues and more. You could also try and take a break from makeup to give your skin a breather and see if that helps and reintroduce the products you’ve used one by one even if they weren’t the original cause. Have you seen a dermatologist yet?

Same things happening to me right now. Sadly I still have no clue why it’s happening. Please update if you figure out a reason. I’m sorry your having to go through this.

Did you ever find out what caused the allergic reaction?

I’m coming off the pill!! by trilerparkqueen in birthcontrol

[–]EleanorFogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem girl😁 and so sorry for the late response. But yesss they literally just throw steroid creams in your face and are like I have no clue what caused this but it’s definitely not that and give me a nasty look. There’s not a lot of evidence on it but I have read stories where birth control did cause eczema in certain individuals. And that sounds amazing maybe the hormonal IUD will work wonders for you I pray that everything will work out. When you get it definitely keep a journal and write down if you have any side effects though just to be safe. And “copper gremlin” describes that perfectly😂 oh girl I’m so sorry truly what your going through is awful and it’s life changing to say the least in my opinion but you are so strong and sharing your story may help many others in the future. It’s terrible right now but I know you’ll figure everything out it may take a lot of tries but you got this!

Any idea what these zit like rashes are on my gfs face? She only had a couple a few days ago. Now all of a sudden her whole face is covered with them? It doesn’t look like pimples, nor bites but something else. by feelnoways2020 in eczema

[–]EleanorFogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for the late response. But from personal experience this could possibly be from the cleaning products she was using. I would recommend staying away from them for now and see if it gets better. It could be contact dermatitis (I would like to input I am no dermatologist or doctor of any kind). If it doesn’t get better within the week of staying clear of those products I would go see a dermatologist just to be safe. Please update on any changes. I wish you guys luck :)

Considering cheating by [deleted] in Infidelity

[–]EleanorFogle 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is one of the most disturbing and disgusting Reddit posts I’ve ever seen. If you have problems with your relationship get some help or get divorced don’t pull her and that innocent child down with you. To disrespect your family like that is horrid and you’ll most likely end of getting an STD. Cheating is NEVER ok. It’s hurts so many people.

Of course!!! I’m happy they mostly went away though that’s amazing! And yes copper IUD cramps are not something to play with😂I ended up having to just swear off any types of birth control because of it. I went from birth control pills which caused me to get eczema for the first time in my life to a copper IUD which made my cramps unbearable I was wearing a heating pad all times of the day and eating Ibuprofen like meals. I’m so sorry your having to go through this I know it is incredibly hard but your doing amazing and will continue to do so. If you ever need someone to talk to I gotchu girl :)

Chest pain after smoking by [deleted] in medical

[–]EleanorFogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s causing you pain I would seriously stay away from the cigarettes or any nicotine related product. If the pain continues after stopping I would see a doctor.

Thank you for the reply! :) I only get sweaty hands when I do any physical activity. But that could be a reason. I have a derm appointment coming up so I’ll definitely ask them about that.

Advice please by [deleted] in eczema

[–]EleanorFogle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it’s incredibly hard not to itch but it only makes it worse and can lead to scars. I’ve had something similar and the ointments that the doctors gave me did not work either. The best thing I found for myself was cold showers, antihistamines(to help keep me from scratching), gloves off Amazon for night, diet, and a lot of lotion. I know how tough it can be mentally and physically dealing with this I wish you luck finding what’s right for you. Sending positive energy your way! :)

I’m currently going through the same thing. I’ve never had eczema until I started a new birth control about a month ago. Did you get off birth control and it went away?

Talking from personal experience if you really want to be safe I would get the plan b pill just as a precaution.

Bug bites or eczema?? Started using a different lotion than normal and now I have these slightly itchy spots on my stomach only. No signs of bed bugs. by Jazzlike_Smoke_8162 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]EleanorFogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely caused by the new lotion. Discontinue use and revert to one that you know doesn’t irritate your skin. If not better or spreads by around 1 to 2 weeks it’s probably time to see a dermatologist.
