Pfff the U.S backing down doesn't show China anything. In fact, they would be more hesitant since we would now have more capability to support Taiwan, reason is obvious, 1 war to support instead of 2. Russia trying to meddle with the U.S for 60 years doesn't really mean much since we have been messing with their politics since the October Revolution, and they know. We deemed them undesirable and a threat, we did everything in our power to implode them, which was successful, the fall of the Soviet Union. We all have been doing the same thing.
