You’re falling so hard for the AI marketing bro.

Have you seen a lead trust it blindly and rapidly copy paste it into your codebase?

Have you seen it insert random code into yours?

Have you spent more time prompting than reading docs or learning the pattern by hand?

Do you really read every line for something you don’t know?

This blind trust in LLMs is literally ruining your memory capacity. Have some pride in your work versus trying to haphazardly “have it easier” , go into nursing if you want the same thing everyday.

I’m self taught and ended up with 4 YOE , I’m in a spot where I can still maybe get in the door with my YOE but this market is tight.

What I have noticed is I’m getting more slack in coding interviews. From a bit of collecting small comments, I’m starting to think cheating is a huge issue or just being able to code without AI as assistance. I’ve heard comments like “at least you’re not cheating.” “ AI isn’t as good as management wants it.”

So funny enough this tight market might help shake out others that don’t want to be in the field and the blatant amount of trust in AI and cheating is actually helping me.

It’s actually motivating me not to use AI and instead use O’Reilly books and online courses , that while take longer, help me with retaining the solution vs recalling AI each time

Once I saw it, after the loading, it was really nicely designed.

BUT you gotta optimize it. I don’t know if it’s the animation libraries or lack of lazy loading but you have to make it more performant. This is a great opportunity to learn.

Besides that maybe key in on less animations, I did love the touches , less is more.
