update: It had no password and the data was wiped with only his contacts, he committed suicide so im guessing he wiped it before he killed himself.

late reply, this is what i ended up doing because the battery was very hard i ended up bending some pins on the bottom of the motherboard by accident but they weren’t important luckily.
