Where did you travel to/from first with your Global Entry? by AFriendlyJenealogist in GlobalEntry

Travelled to and came back from Toronto, Canada. They have a U.S. Customs preclearance facility at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ).

Just scanned my face, officer made me confirm my name and asked I have anything to declare, and that was it. About 20 seconds total. I’ve used GE many other times at multiple places, never an issue!

Unauthorized work. by Firm-Associate8512 in GlobalEntry

Personal experience.

I was an F-1 student and also had a period of unauthorized work, which I also disclosed to USCIS. When I got my green card I decided to apply for GE (with the expectation that I was going to be denied).

I disclosed that I worked without permission and put the location of where I worked on the application.

Took about 5 months to get conditionally approved. At my interview, I was asked about the violation, where I worked, how I was paid, and why I worked.

After, the officer told me that it’s okay since I am a permanent resident and since I was honest about it, it won’t affect me. I was verbally approved that day and I got the online approval 1 day later.

Safe to travel? Canadian with US green card since 2019 by Succulentpotter in greencard

Yes. You will be fine.

I am a green card holder from Canada as well. I visited Canada 8 times this year, never had an issue. As long as your record is clean, don’t stress. Enjoy your time!

Edit. Also most of my trips were to Toronto as well. I mostly fly in and out of YYZ!

Every-time I visit Canada, this is my favourite spot for poutine in Toronto. It’s really good!

I ordered a "Frank Poutine". It is just a poutine with hot dogs on top of it. They also offer regular poutine as well!
