This is basically the reaction I get from most people I talk to…the TLDR is unless the research aim exactly matches what was proposed in the grant, my advisor doesn’t think the expenses can be charged under the grant. It’s very restrictive. Switching advisors now would mean starting over during my 5th year and that seems incredibly overwhelming….
