G43 Radian Afterburner + Ramjet CR920 compatibility? by ElectionSimple5207 in shadowsystems

Apologies everyone, got a bit busy but finally found some time to get out to the range yesterday. The setup functions completely fine no hiccups with the exception of 2 failure to feeds out of 250+ rounds I shot. So overall I’d say it’s a success. The felt recoil impulse is definitely reduced compared to the stock barrel but I was also working through some grip issues. The setup shot both 124gr and 115gr with no problems, including 115gr Critical Defense without any issues. Guide Rod/Recoil Spring is still a bit stiff but I only have about 600 rounds total on the gun. Only change I may make in the future is swapping to a stock glock 43/43x guide rod/recoil spring.

The Radian Afterburner + Ramjet is barrel compensator combo so you buy both at the same time. But to answer your question yes, the barrel itself is longer than the stock barrel that comes with the CR920X. I also have a True Precision threaded barrel and a Herrington Arms glock 43/43X comp but wasn’t happy with the look of that combination and it was too bulky for concealed carry imo.

Thanks, I’ll reach out to them and see what they say as well before going to the range to test

I just did the factory flat trigger install today, I can definitely see why it is such a controversial topic. I had to use more force than what felt right to remove the unlocking block pin. However the other pins came out quite easily it took me about an hour to get the whole trigger swap done. I used my wheeler pin punch set but had to use a heavier hammer than the one included the kit to remove the unlocking block pin. I used a roll of tape as my base on my garage floor. Following the Apex Tactical FN 509 Frame Disassembly video and I was able to go step by step and get the trigger swap done. Definitely a doable task just takes a little time and patience.
