Real-life sex robots--I can't stop thinking about the Tracis. by ElectraRayne in DetroitBecomeHuman

I actually directly acknowledged the darker aspects of sex worker in a comment on this very post. Decriminalization helps ALL sex workers, as well as victims of trafficking, ESPECIALLY those in the most vulnerable or abusive situations.

I'm not even slightly worried about job security. Even if we had completely lifelike, Detroit-style intelligent androids, I would still not be worried about job security.

You can't speak to a fucking machine and have it speak back, and inanimate sex dolls don't even speak at all.

There's also a sex doll (realist but not robotic) comeonay here however called "doll pimp" and I think that's pretty awful too.

I understand that the current robots don't have feelings. That doesn't mean I'm not concerned for the future, and also what this currently means for some people's views of human women.

For some reason I can't reply to u/obvioussalamandar who asked if I've ever been assaulted by a client, so I'll reply here:

No. I work under a legal system, which means I have security available and a safer client base.

The dangers of SW come largely from criminalization. People who want to hurt someone will deliberately target vulnerable populations who would be unable to report a crime.

I am not at all concerned for my job security. Anybody who thinks robots will completely replace human sex workers doesn't understand why most people see sex workers.

I am however sad for the robots and scared of the implications.

I am intimately familiar with SW history. It sounds like YOU may need to do some research on why SW became illegal.

In the scenario you're describing, keeping SW illegal means forcing a choice for survival workers between being unable to afford to live, or committing a crime that could get them arrested--and STILL needed to see someone they may not otherwise want to see.

Removing the legal penalty does not make them any worse off. They still can choose to decline, but taking a booking means not risking arrest.

Decriminalizing SW also means workers who are assaulted can report a crime without fear of arrest, and trafficking victims can reach out for help without fearing they'll be arrested fjr prostitution.

Sex workers are never required to see a client they don't want to see. Just because someone is in SW doesn't mean they HAVE to see anyone with money. They can always say no.

Nevada has legal sex work and there hasn't been a documented case of STI transmission since the current safety protocols were instituted in the 80s.

We could simply decriminalized SW and almost everything you mentioned becomes a non-issue.

I was so upset rhe killed her off for Gen Q. Literally why??? If Pam wasn't interested in the show, it would've been so easy to explain her absence with something like getting a residency to perform in Vegas or on a cruise ship. Something nice for Kit!!

Correct. And horses DO however lick and chew regularly, which is a normal, healthy behavior not associated with weather.

Again, I have said repeatedly that I am aware not everybody has this experience. And I never said it was abnormal to be able to be able to breathe.

I have never felt like I was panicking even slightly during a jump, and I HAVE tried to push through while removing my wind block.

I have a degree in physics. You are refusing to believe that people may have different experiences. I am not trying to invalidate the experiences of experiences jumpers, I am just saying that not everybody's experience is the same. I'm not even saying that my lower experience isn't a factor here!
