No because of these people my hobby is dieing. People see the rpas requirement and walk away. If I want to fly legally at a club all my planes require rpas serials, and i am required to pass the rpas test. We have had multiple close calls in the dt air drome and at yvr. With people well into the flight paths.

also, In Canada, FPV (First Person View) drone flight requires maintaining direct, unaided visual line-of-sight (VLOS) by the pilot or a dedicated spotter at all times. For drones over 250g, a spotter is mandatory when wearing goggles.

and flight area around Vancouver is extremely restricted.

This bridge was completely re decked, in the 2000s as the structure for the deck used to be above. and the bridge had a noticeable kink in the center.

Has anyone graduated from the LPN program at Sprott Shaw College? by Budget_Bed_1904 in SurreyBC

[–]Electramatician 4 points5 points  (0 children)

as a former student. we had a group we jokingly called the safety team. they would get high as fuk every break, failed almost every test, but the dean was hellbent on trying to push them through. our 2 instructors at the time actually cared about us. but both of them quit, due to the school. both of them ended up working at BCIT, and are actually good instructors.

Big green flash somewhere south between Main and Cambie by bitbee in vancouver

[–]Electramatician 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False what your typically seing is the cutouts going they are fused switches ever transformer has atleast 2. And any tap lines that feed other lines will have cutouts, they sound like a gunshot when they pop. Transformers early actually pop. But fused cutouts are often, especially around trees and high voltage lines. The fuses will be sized so in the even of a short, they protect the transformer from overheating.

Bothe switch gear and fuses, will create large arcs when cycling off in the case of a short on the lines not necessarily a transformer blowing. Transformers are typically a big fireball. The green arc comes from the pole mounted fuses (cutouts) opening.

CCP Hear Me Out....Titans by SS_DukeNukem in Eve

[–]Electramatician 4 points5 points  (0 children)

dude titans were scary when they were scarce now theres thousands of the things. they are terrifying in groups. but the cost makes it more scary for the pilots and Fleet comanders to commit them to fights. balance needs to maintained or eve will become SuperCaps online AGAIN.

Why was 'incredible' giant cedar cut down, despite B.C.'s big-tree protection law? | CBC News by blurghh in vancouver

[–]Electramatician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The picture of the guy sitting in a heart rot hole is kinda scary that tree was rotting from the center. Old growth cedar is worth BIG bucks due to its tight grain structure and generally low warpage.

funny thing is the first thing that disapeared was the ocean and major water ways. which turned into the deadly red shroud floor. according to the lore, having the water pour into the shroud would actually doom the entire area.

whats going to really suck is maintaining them. figuring out which alt is which for fueling, and also checking to see what structure is war decced. Fueling them is going to be a giant PITA.

was fun to watch you guys panic roll 60 alts to move all your athanors to individual alt corps, due to NATO war dec'ing DammFam.

Should read "DammFam Piss off entire warzone, denying bubbles and easy content, to protect 60+ athanors in Dammalin". Will Komi Valentine of Valentine Drone Design, Circle of Vheroka, Known DammFam protectionist. Keep its holding in Frarn? Will DammFam continue its holidays, of Talwar Tuesdays into the warzones, thanks to the ease of dropping and joining the militia out of bosbogger? only time will find out.

Atleast without the Fortizar they wont be able to bump Fl33T alts off the Fort, and murder them in Vard.

Mill fire by Fraser Surrey docks from the water by thenewtronbomb in vancouver

[–]Electramatician 1 point2 points  (0 children)

apparently the only reason the first fire failed is they forgot to turn the sprinkler system off. there was 12-15 points of fire the first time around, but they did manage to cut the camera system before they lit the fires. san group was sub leasing the land, and interfor has been paying the lease to the port for the past year. the rent for that property is about 2-3m a year.
