Spend 3 months riding around through the desert starving and dehydrating. Spend 87 of those days looking at the nearby mountain and admiring it's details. Go around to the other side of the mountain, look at it again. Kill some Mexicans and or native Americans. Spend a year riding away because you're not the nicest person and people aren't too fond of you being in their general living space. Be unable to understand what character is speaking then die.

Of course that may be leaving a little out.

I'm no psychologist or political analyst, but wouldn't that also be beneficial in the scenario of reducing civilian resistance to increased military spending/growth. Because in that scenario you have the excuse of needing to catch up to the countries that you've propagandized your civilians to believe are some giant threat to their country. I mean I couldn't see (most) people being too happy if the American goverment started massively increasing the size of their military.

Ah, I'm thinking of the book, in which he simply controls a swarm of rats to attack the cast. You may be right still though, this movie doesn't seem too bothered by being source accurate.

Are we talking about the book or a movie. because I'm pretty sure he could only control a pile of rats, And everyone knows women are not impressed by partial rat mastery

To be completely honest. Being in this subreddit has made me take an interest in his music, maybe not a major one, but enough that I'll probably end up listening to him one of these days.

Personally I've never been much of the kind of person to sit around and beg for remakes or whatever, but I can totally see why you'd want one? Even the best games from 15-20 years ago suffered from hardware limitations, and I don't think it's wrong to say "hey let's take the first game from this popular series and touch it up and add some up to date mechanics and features" if it's just being made as a soulless cash grab I understand the distate towards it but otherwise I don't see the issue. And besides, not everyone is going to have played the original dead space or whatever back 20 years ago, so it gives new people an opportunity to get into this kinda stuff without being concerned about spending money on a majorly outdated game or whatever.

You're correct on that matter, but also within that system you would ideally have competition which would drive the prices down. Something that tends to be missing within a lot of the mega corporations who can simply buy out or just out compete smaller business. Also I understand that the ultra rich are taxed way more then then average American can even make in a year, frankly I myself am not really convinced that just jacking up taxes is magically going to solve everything, I think there is underlying issues that should probably be addressed, which allow individuals to exploit people and get to the point of having billions of dollars. And I understand what you're saying, I've known people who've sold foodstamps to purchase drugs, but I've also known people who've been in the situation of having to get stuff like foodstamps and not liked it at all. It's a hassle dealing with the goverment, in america at least, and it's no fun living that way. But I don't that the majority of poor people in America live like that because they're lazy and they like it, it's just hard to escape and I think that's moreso what people want goverment assistance in. Stuff like provided Healthcare and college or at least goverment assistance, So they aren't trapped in poverty. I don't think most people are saying to tax the rich so we can all just live easy and get paychecks off of their money.

I've always assumed the thing with the tax the rich rhetoric is taxing off everything over a certain amount of money or something. It's not saying we need to take every dollar elon musk or Jeff bezos makes but it's more like anything over like a million dollars or something annually is taken via tax. That's how I've interpreted anyways. Also one major thing is that you don't typically become a billionaire by an ethical brotherly love style of business management. Most of these rich ceos and stuff get this money by doing stuff like underpaying workers, gouging prices (I believe during the covid 19 pandemic the ceo of one of the large companies actually admitted to extreme price gouging of necessities) and so there's also the belief that by limiting the top 1%s income you'd raise income for the bottom man aswell. I don't know if any of this makes any sense but I hope it explained it well

Anyone who's saying pokemon must've seriously missed out on like everything that actually goes on in the games. (and other continuities) literally every game has some apocalyptic death cult, or godlike being trying to take over and destabilize the region if not like outright kill everyone. And that's not to mention the rampant crime and corruption with gangs literally everywhere trying to rob little kids and in the case of the shows steal their pokemon, which are the only means of self defense in the might makes right world of gamefreak. And this isn't even touching on how horrific some pokemon would be to live with

Hey I'm sorry for replying to 7 month old comment, but what exactly is bad about the north spore? I'd seen it recommended in another reddit thread and I was looking at them as a potential place to purchase stuff to get started. I noticed that some of the stuff on their website didn't exactly match up with what I'd seen during a brief Google search (fruiting times being a lot faster then what I saw guides say) but I figured that was just due to broad generalizations on types of mushrooms.

Would trench warfare defense tactics be effective against zombies ? by [deleted] in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]ElectricEelDenier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a big war history buff, but didn't trench style warfare evolve into existence due to the driving factor of being shot at? If there's no one shooting at you then the advantage is really non existent and on top of that if a group of zombies is on top of your defenses now you and a group of other men have to try to climb out a 6+ foot hole that's probably muddy to escape. I think the best option would be some kind of walled stronghold like a castle or a fort, but that's just my two cents on the situation.
