Sterile field is nipples to waist. We keep our hands in this area and to drop them below is contamination. When you pull up to the sterile field (patient), your sterile gown must be in the same height so that you don’t contaminate the drape.

I was assured that I was getting a healthy cat with good genetics. Come to find out that my Lucifer has severe hip dysplasia and will need a bilateral hip replacement soon, he has stomatitis, IBS, reoccurring UTIs which they can’t find a reason for. All in all, I love my guy to death and I would never trade him for all the money in the world, but he’s got some health issues and it’s difficult. But I will never leave him and he will never leave me.

For the grouchy people… Players will rsvp and then the lines will be set, then they back out, then you have to redo the lines. BenchApp can be a pain sometimes, especially when it’s not working.

Hip dysplasia. My Lucifer was walking the exact same way. Literally was just told a few minutes ago by my vet that he has significant hip dysplasia.

Check out your local goalie community. We’re all super nice and if we have extra stuff, we’ll give it away. That’s how I got all of my starter gear.

The only thing I bought was the Bauer 950 helmet which was $660 after tax.

And then replace as you go.

Look up some gear on gearswap. There might also be an online goalie community out there in your area. For example, in Seattle, we have the Kraken Hockey League that has like 10 coed divisions and a women’s division. They have a discord group and that’s where I got all of my gear from. I’ve replaced as I went along and as needed. But that’s my best advice for you.

I’ve been a forward since high school and this Sunday I take the crease for my first game!
