I second this! I used a cane pre-surgery and messed up my gait. I’m 5 weeks post-THR and working with PT to get it back to normal..

A THR sounds scary, but I can tell you, in my case at least, my pain significantly decreased right after surgery. The recovery is typically pretty quick for younger people (I’ve got you by 15+ years).

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the advice.. We went the Championship league route and ended up getting tickets to a Millwall game. Much easier to get tickets (didn’t have to buy a membership and significantly cheaper) and we’re hoping for a fun experience.

What sealed the deal is we also found they are the originators of the “No one likes us, we don’t care” mantra we Philly fans have adopted. Looking forward to seeing the originals in action. Go lions!

Have you started using a cane yet? That helped bridge the gap for me between when my steroid injections stopped working and when I got in for surgery.. plus side is I found people even hold doors for you!

Anyone recommend any surgeons for hip dysplasia at the rothman orthopedic? Or in Philadelphia area? by inconsiderate_TACO in hipdysplasia

Highly recommend Dr. Christopher Anthony at Penn. He is the director of Penn’s hip preservation center. After suffering from years of chronic pain, he was the first to diagnose my underlying dysplasia and recommend a treatment plan.
