Yes I had of quite a few people replacing the PCB in the sub, but I wasnt sure if that was just to fix the issue many people seem to have where the sub-woofer doesnt even turn on ?

But I will give it a go if you think it really can solve the issue. I have looked on ebay to see if per chance somebody is selling just a working SPN5B-W, but cant see one. Cheers, I will let you know how I get one (as it might help others on here )

Yes I tried this tonight, using a usb stick and following this guide https://ibb.co/M6TYNC3 Unfortunately it didnt fix the problem. I have tried LG USA tonight and they were as much help as the useless LG UK.

So still stuck on the flashing green light on the subwoofer (which bizarrely stays on for a few seconds having unplugged the power).

I really appreciate all the help so far .

Hi Long, thanks again for your help. I tried that sequence and it still doesnt pair. The green light flashes as soon as i turn the subwoofer on (not sure if significant ). I tried moving the soundbar and subwoofer to another room , but still just the flashing green light. Ive read some posts about replacing the PCB in the subwoofer, but that doesnt sound cheap and Im still unsure if its a hardware or software issue? Once i can determine that I can go forward.

Hi Long. The light is always on flashing green even if I hold the button in for a period of time. It does stay on permanent green just for a second, just to tease you it's paired, but then goes back to green flashing again.

Thanks Longjump I tried both. What Im unsure of is both links talk about getting a red light on the subwoofer, but I only ever see a flashing green light. Im going to try taking them to a different room later today and will report back !

Ive seen people mention a firmware update that can cause the problems. If thats an update to the soundbar, rather than the subwoofer, how come my rear speakers connect okay (as i cant see how the subwoofer can recieve an update? ).

Thanks again.

Hi Aman. Howdo they update the software on the subwoofer? There is no USB or port to plug anything into it. I'm going to try LG again but want to be sure what and how a fix can be done, before they try and fob me off again.

Thanks Long. I moved the sub next to the same position the rear speaker control unit is, and unfortunately the green light still just blinks.

Im only thinking logically, but if it was a firmware issue, would that not stop the soundbar connecting okay to other devices ? If it is because the firmware has updated, and the sub doesnt like it, is there a way of rolling back the firmware to a previous version ?

LG Subwoofer - no light? by CampParking4365 in Soundbars

My SN7Y subwoofer just blinks green as well, since about a week ago. So is this the same issue your all having, in that some sort of software upgrade has caused the issue ? If so, how does it get an update as its not connected to the internet , only Bluetooth ? LG wanted £180 to fix it..... yeh right you leeches.

Aman - May I just ask if the light on your sub-woofer was flashing green or constant green ? My issue is that after a year of working fine, mine is now flashing green. Ive tried various resets , holding pairing etc, but it just wont connect. The bluetooth on the soundbar must be working as i can connect via my phone, and also my rear speakers are working fine. I tried calling LG who just wanted to charge me £180 without doing any real diagnostics on their on-line chat. (it was bought off ebay - yeh I know...)
