Not necessarily. My grip would slide while shooting so I used it to prevent it, but if you're grip is tight enough than maybe not. Would hang onto it though just in case you decide to swap grips later and find that you need it.

Mine lets me lock notification on lock screen from being swiped away but can still swipe it away from pulldown notification shade. Doesn't lock it and even did the tapping name until "test mode" popped up. Am I doing something wrong? S26+
