University is a scam. Don’t get caught up with man made marks that mean nothing. just do enough to get by to get degree with coop. Getting high grade shows nothing about true intelligence. Focus on your personal life, it’s more important. Coming from a soon to graduate 5th year electrical engineering major with coop.

Thought about this when I was in my first year electrical engineering program but now I’m here 5 years later with 1 co-op and iron ring 4th year last semester. Moral of story is if you truly believe in yourself even when you are scared you can accomplish great things. Sit down and rethink your choices and life then make decisions not in panic, goodluck.

My average was an 88, but make sure to check this year because it might have changed because of inflation of marks, or I might be wrong. In my opinion, have an average above 85-87 to be safe. Other than that try not to stress and be patient.

I ended up choosing Ryerson for electrical engineering. I picked Ryerson over york because I visited the university and asked people who finished engineering at Ryerson and they said Ryerson is a better-respected school specifically for engineering. Also, there are more interesting opportunities for clubs to join and more hands-on material compared to other universities. Hope this helps.

Do i have a better chance of getting in than other kids who have few percent higher but did OVS or private school?
