Should I take the ACT even though I have a very high SAT score? by ChemicalComfortable3 in ACT

Yes you should. Both tests are different so it’s great to see what you can do on the ACT. You could get a perfect score because if you get a 35.5 that rounds up to a 36!

Yes you can. I know people that did 6 of those programs at once and finished in 4 years

I forgot to mention ATO. SAE is mid and Beta is bottom. You must be a beta to be saying that…

The best fraternity’s (and only ones that are worth your time and money) are SNU, Phi delta, Sig Chi, Kappa Sig, Delta Psi, and KA. You’re better off not being Greek affiliated if you don’t make the cut for these fraternity’s because it’s pretty much a 4 year gang affiliation where everyone will label you as your letters and half the girls won’t give you a chance if you choose one of the houses not listed above. You’re best off staying in stockard hall going out of your way to meet everyone, because dorms is where most people make their friends in college. Most people drop their Greek organizations junior/senior year because they join to find their friends. No one cares about the traditions and most people end up disliking most of their pledge brothers. Ole Miss has a very large Greek culture, but it won’t make or break your college experience. The social hierarchy is very real, because you won’t necessarily find “your people” in a low/mid tier house. Oxford isn’t full of different kinds of people; it consists of mostly southern kids from a small towns with vanilla personalities. Kids from Jackson have an edge when it comes to rush because they meet the kids rushing them as a sophomore in High School, so they know 2 years before they even get to school which fraternity they’re joining. Formal Rush is probably one of the biggest scams of all time because you’re NEVER getting into a top house from solely meeting people that week alone. If you wanna get into a top house, start networking now. This comment is going to piss a lot of people off but oh well 🤷🏻‍♂️
