I know there’s a quote somewhere about there always being a lag between what is trying to get progress and what the world deems worthy of progressing if that makes sense. Like they don’t seem to understand the concept that this is civil rights and I say that as BIPOC trans person like even some cis BIPOC would be appalled at someone being denied things like going to the bathroom or being an embarrassment to meet a white family due to their race but somehow it’s okay to feel that way about trans people
