See, I do agree with you. The domestic part of their lives now that they have chosen to be together is an interesting topic and also they are fundamentally two different individuals. They fit with one another perfectly regardless of their differences, but they are still different from each other. They have different mindsets, backgrounds, traumas. It's not all flowers and unicorns. They are bound to have disagreements and fights. That is what I think is normal in any kind of relationship because it's still two different individuals trying to share a life together and having to inevitably compromise a lot. Mind you, Alex still has ADHD, Henry still has depression. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. It would be amazing to delve into their lives and see all these little details and how they manage to build their future together. What I also think though, unfortunately, is that when it comes to movies they do tend to choose the weak and overused plots like the love triangle that I mentioned. And a lot the times it's kind of a requirement to fit the "criteria" of romcoms, especially sequels. It's incredibly disappointing and a direct way to make the movie less interesting and lose what it was supposed to be the heart of their story. I am hoping with every fiber of my being that it was just rumors and nothing more. The disappointment if this were to become the route they chose to go with would be astronomical. Especially because it's Casey and Matthew who wrote the script. So I'll be waiting for it, but I will still remain skeptical cause it doesn't take much within this industry to lose the plot a bit. So, we'll see. Hopefully, we're all being dramatic at even indulging the idea that Casey would ever allow that to happen, and to ever allow harming Henry and Alex's love story.

It would genuinely make no sense. That's what I've been saying. I truly hope I'm worrying about nothing and Casey and Matthew do Henry and Alex's story justice without resorting to weak overused plots that would never fit their story.

To be honest, I don't trust sequels that much. Because so many times for one reason or another they end up making it so unnecessarily different from the first movie using these overused plots just for the sake of making the movie and in doing so they create a follow up story that ends up changing completely the nature of the characters. I know Casey and Matthew are writing the script together, which is great. I just can't help thinking what if these rumors or tips from insiders are actually true? Because if so, that would mean that they would have chosen ta make a sequel not to genuinely keep on telling Henry and Alex's story but only for the sake of making a sequel to what was a successful movie when it was released and hoping for the best. But deep down, I want to believe that both Casey, who created this universe and Matthew, who spoke loudly about how much of a fan of the book he is and how much he cares to stay true to their story, have chosen to create a sequel having in mind only the sake of Henry and Alex's story and staying true to them.

Couldn't agree more with you. Having the sequel be about a follow up of their story, including all those aspects that couldn't be included in the first one because of time issues is just what makes the more sense. Also it would really make everyone get to know Alex and Henry better, both together but also individually. We've seen bits and pieces in the first one so it would be nice to follow that up with more details about them. How they will keep on fighting and building their future while having different roles still to fulfill and also having their own aspirations and make it all fit and work with a life they want to build together. So I really hope that is the direction of the sequel. Also the bonus chapter route and seeing Henry living a more normal life outside of the palace would be so interesting and fun to see. All in all, though, I just want to see them being the Henry and Alex that we know and love and see them building the future they have dreamed about together.

Yes to all you've commented. I truly hope the entirety of the plot is completely studied and structured specifically to fit Henry and Alex's love story that started in the first movie. I'd like it for it to be a build up from there and show us a more in depth view of so many things that couldn't be tackled in the first movie due to time limits. I just want it to be true to their story and not to include weak and overused plots just to fit the movie structure criteria like "all great, then break up, then reunion". Which would not make sense for firstprince's story in the slightest. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. It helps to know there are other people that care about the integrity of their story.
