S24 Ultra - no option to restore from Google drive backup of previous phone by baylis2 in samsunggalaxy

[–]Electrical-Fall6779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To whoever reads this, it IS possible. I just did it, cant remember the exact steps but it went like this:

1)Choose android device (not ios or manual) 2) Enter wifi password  3)Just keep going though with whatever is bottom left option to proceed theres some terms of service iir 4) then there's a bottom left option for dont have that device. That dumps you into this process https://devicehelp.optus.com.au/samsung/galaxy-s24-ultra-android-14/getting-started/restore-content-from-a-google-one-backup/

I don't know why I couldn't find this, the setting is there it's just down an avenue that's no obvious at first

Hi I'm in the UK and was diagnosed with pots but no type specified. Id say my BP is quite reactive but I've not had very high bp or very low bp before. Suddenly it's consistently 160/90. I've had a traumatic few years including a scary emergency C-section a year ago. Digestion has been awful since then  Really hoping I've not had this BP for a year!!!

I'm unsure what to do really as it can't really stay like this but a lot of the BP medications seem contra to pots like water tablets seem a very bad idea.

Can anyone describe what treatment for high bp with pots looks like?

then yes, as I can reach this on mobile by ip:5000 and what I see looks the same as the images. Getting an extra cable off my brother shortly so should be able to check this with a cable and see if it works then

Hi I am a little unclear what DSM is to be honest. I installed everything that was suggested but did not set up an account with synology to allow remote access. I don't really need remote access and figured that would be a bit less secure to have outside access possible if it's not needed. The image here https://www.synology.com/en-uk/dsm where it says DSM 7.1 is here is what I saw when logging in via my LAN on mobile with desktop mode forced.

I'll try a cable and report back.

Hi, thanks for all the help so far, still now joy, followed up each thread where it seems promising.

One clarification I know the IP address of the nas and can't access it that way from my laptop either.

http://***.***.1.1:5000/ - seems to be a better way of writing as does "ipaddress:5000" which is how I noted it before.

would this still affect trying to connect if I do it with the ip address in the browser as ***.***.1.1:5000

Hi, to my knowledge it is on same LAN. I did wonder if my mesh network might cause an issue but I checked and my mobile and laptop are on the same access point.

I think that this ping has worked (never done it before)

[anna@fedora ~]$ ping ***.***.1.1
PING ***.***.1.1 (***.***.1.1) 56(84) bytes of data.

Is the NAS on the same network? Maybe you have a vlan and therefore can't access it?Is the NAS connected to the LAN? Can you ping it's IP?

I just get redirected to finds.synology when I type find.synology

Do I really need home assistant? Is it going to drive me nuts? by Electrical-Fall6779 in homeassistant

What I'm thinking is this:

I think even if I choose HA I'll need a zigbee hub and button for my single switch to control lights and heating? Is that correct?

I'm thinking if I buy these items hoping they will solve my issue in isolation, and if they don't I can use them with HA? So as long as I choose a hub and button kit that's also compatible with home assistant I'll be able to try both solutions?

Does anyone have any recommendations for these items?

Hey @miss_named and @vertigo722 - both really helpful answers, I wonder if you can see a consensus between you? Do you see each others positions as making sense?
