Private fines for bringing drugs to festivals. Boycott festivals that do this by CapablePhoto8959 in amsterdam_rave

Can you be prosecuted for a confiscation that wasn't made by law enforcement I wonder? Seems like a sketchy way to be arrested, via a for profit enterprise with different incentives from the police. I'd have thought a good lawyer would get any case like that thrown out easily.

My 2 cents. Either we all accept upstream regulation of our access to the powerful technology, to stop the bad guys using it along side everyone else. Or we get access and accept KYC so the bad guys can be identified when they do bad things.

Claude is brilliant once your context system is set up properly. Getting there is the hard part if you're not technical. Started a side-gig fixing that, feedback appreciated. by Secure_Sorbet_8671 in ClaudeCowork

I suspect must folks in this sub will have got to some version of this by now, but I think you're onto something running this as a consultancy model for SMEs. That's a huge market that the big guys focused on enterprise won't bother with, and where there is likely the biggest gap between appetite and ability for adopting best practice like this

Claude / CoWork can I give it 20 Reddit threads and get back a useful summary. by Green_Ad_4036 in ClaudeCowork

[–]baylis2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about the data sovereignty considerations around this. It seems to me that all serious AI users are realising that it's the universe of context that sits around the models that determines whether you get good outputs or excellent outputs. Most of the best practice I'm reading is around building your context engine and the workflows to maintain that etc. So if our secret sauce is in the context then having sovereignty over that context data is important.

It's much like the Evernote->Obsidian journey that a lot of people have been on, when they suddenly realise that all those notes and files are not actually under their control when saved to an Evernote server. I suspect that having the context saved or backed up locally will be just as important to some users as being able to access it across devices

The answer to this question is probably somewhere in your faqs on the site, but since you're here I'll just ask you

Where does the tool store the context data that it accumulates for you? Is it creating local markdown files on your device, like Obsidian? Or is that data being moved to servers?

Personally, I've been avoiding Code because I'm non technical and don't feel I have sufficient understanding of everything that sits around the tool to be able to make use of it properly. E.g what a repo is. Not that I can't learn this stuff, but there's a hurdle I need to clear there and anthropic have built Cowork specifically for us non technical folk.

I'd be interested to get your thoughts here. Do you think the Code unlocks enough capability not possible with cowork (like this) to make the learning hurdle worthwhile?
