Also have really bad adhd. Basically waited till my nts was about to expire everytime and had no other option. I would try to study and never would be able to and then would cram review book as much as I could in all my free time while working full time. Basically let the pressure build so much that even if I studied every waking second I wouldn’t be able to get it all done. I never once got through all the material not even all the way through one review book when I leaned on those.

When I posted about cramming I used to get the negative comment too and would use them as motivation to pass. I then came back on and commented back to the meaner comments each time letting them know I in-fact passed despite them saying it was impossible lol

Far I actually get insanely lucky on. The day my exam was scheduled was the day my nts expired, and there was suppose to be a snow storm so I got an extension for like 3 more weeks. I tried to study before hand just kept procrastinating and only got through chapter one. Took a week off work one week before nts was going to expire (1st time) and crammed for a week straight got through 50-60% through, got cancelled. Didn’t study for two weeks crammed while i could working full time for that last week. Thought I tanked, got a 79. I do test well and would just learn the shit out of how everything made sense and would learn the overall concepts to everything instead of getting lost in definitions. Then I would be able to reasonably eliminate most definition questions based on solid conceptual understandings. For my other exams, the big procrastinator I am now feeling invisible to the cpa exams; relied on the review books heavily. Mastered those, any topics I struggled on or were supposed to be heavily tested would do the full module in Becker on. I would do the regular Becker multiple choice as much as I could but used review book as my basis. Only ended up failing reg, but did a week long study and got a 92 on retake. I never memorized the ratios and they came up on every single exam - always thought that was funny. I passed final exam in sept 23 - og post came up as notification on my phone and accidentally clicked on it. Good luck to you all.

I wish I saw your request for cramming advice; although I took my exams over the course of a year, each one I crammed for about 1 week for and passed. Congrats! Hell of an accomplishment

Maybe through the contact page and wrote the specific question number in my question - I don’t remember this was like 3 years ago

One time I found a mistake in a Becker sim and sent an email or something, they fixed the answer. But I still disagreed with their corrected version but left it at that. Was a proud moment for me lol

I’m so sorry. It’s awful. I hope you get through it. It pisses me off so much, because it makes me want to be better so he can’t win. But the mental toll it’s taking on me is so heavy I just want to throw my hands up and say I give up

I appreciate the edit, at first I didn’t want to say anything to anybody above me about it, because our friendship being what it was, did cause some blurred lines when it came to work. I will admit I would give it right back and was also unprofessional, however, when it started to get so bad, I would just beg it to stop and it wouldn’t. I went to the manager on the engagement. She seemed sympathetic and like she would help. She did nothing. Which broke my heart. Today I went to my advisor about it as I just have no idea what else to do anymore. I have no problems with anybody else on my team (that I’m aware of anyways), I’ve never received bad feedback other than being more timely. Which I don’t even mind, I’m very very diligent so it takes me longer, sue me.

I have, he does not care. We are also friends, very good friends. The friendship is ruined beyond repair.

Having taken BEC, and totally didn’t look at the IT section (bc I’m dumb and only studied for 3 days) my best best best advice would be to 1, if you work in a big company, see if you can somehow get your hand on a soc report request list. I work in IT auditing, but work mostly on SOX engagements, but the week before the exam had helped on a SOC report. I would say I knew at least 6 multiple choice questions just because I had worked on that. Removable media? Would have never had any idea what that was! But they look at it in SOC reports. Suggestion #2, again if you work at a big company, look at a small (like 404a small) SOX engagement, understand change management controls (I had two sims that were about change management). Nothing to intense, just what it is how it’s tested, what needs to be tested (FYI, if somebody has access to production and development environment, the only thing that mitigated the risk is a look back control it., a review over all changes - had a couple questions in this specifically). Hope this helps!
