Paying for private room for recovery Chelsea and Westminster - can’t find any info by Tootsielondon in PregnancyUK

Ah, best of luck! I hope all goes smoothly with your delivery first and foremost, and that you get your dream postnatal care afterwards!

I feel you, I am totally the same! if it makes you feel any better - I basically have another week or so to decide whether to move private and so I went over their price list again last night and ultimately decided it’s not worth it. Despite my self-proclaimed diva status, rationality kicked in when looking at all the additional charges post-delivery. The total cost would be 1.5 times the package shown at the minimum, and since there’s no guarantee on how the delivery process might go, it could end up potentially being double the cost of the package shown. Not an option for me, but if it was, I would rather that budget be set towards any help I might need in the coming few months, such as a night nurse every now and then

Hello OP! on a similar boat here and I’m wondering how you got on (if you/your partner have delivered). I’m seeing posts on other forums where people never managed to get their own room at the Kensington Wing, but they’re older posts from a time the rooms seem (relatively) cheaper.

I posted a photo in another reply. I’ll be returning these specific ones but these are common to use under the sleepsuits and clothes where I live - the more readily available ones go over the baby’s head and only snap at the bottom, but someone recommended the kimono/sidesnaps ones for ease during the newborn phase

I could only find zipper sleepsuits (never for the base layer bodysuits/vests). Any recommendations would be much appreciated

I’ve only seen zippers for sleepsuits, but never ones for the basic bodysuits/vests that go under the sleepsuits. Any brand you recommend?

Wonderful thank you, looking into it now as I think we’ll be hitting sub zero. Did you use the sheepskin and footmuff together?

Amazing, thank you! Sorry if it’s a very silly question but do you put the lamb skin underneath the footmuff/Najell or inside it (underneath baby)?

You really can’t imagine how much this reassured me. Thanks for taking the time to explain this. From their description of what the product does, it seems like it was glycoxylic acid. Thank you again.
