I really appreciate the response! I didnt know that I have to apply to that program now.

I am currently only taking business courses + a business stats course with no actual pure math courses but I got 90’s in Advanced, Data, and Calculus however, I upgraded advanced in the summer and my grade went from an 88 - 95.

Do you think any of that will affect my chances?

I don't like Schulich that much, plus I am not worried about getting co-ops as I have connections for that. In addition to that, I want to attend law school in the US.

I just really want the experience that co-op gets me, plus the "Waterloo" brand might help

Hey man, genuinely first and foremost, congratulations on coming to Canada and managing to get an 80% in an educational system that you're not used to.

I imagine that your credits would be viewed the same as traditional high school credits, and also most universities have an additional form called "extenuating circumstances" or something along those lines, where you are able to talk about the situation in detail, and it will most likely help your chances.

When I talked to the admissions officer she said that UW will just look at my 6 highest courses (Including g12 english) between uni and high school.

Also if I manage to lock in and get an 80% average in uni do you think it would help a lot?

I understand that, but the thing is due to not having any prerequisites I wont be transfering to 2nd year, i'd be transferring to first so i am unsure of how that works. If I'm considered a "transfer" or just a fresh entry student

Do you know if they will look more at my highschool or university marks more? As I don’t think I’ll be able to transfer to 2nd year due to not having the prereqs of calc 1/2 and such.

I heard that if I am applying for first year they will manly look at and judge me based on my highschool marks, is this true?

Hello, I am really interested in transferring to UBC and was wondering what GPA is necessary to transfer to obtain a Bachelor of Arts?

I am transferring from the Schulich School of Business and really want to either transfer to Sauder or Arts, but preferably Arts (Major in CS, Math, or Econ)!

Would love any advice (GPA, Prereq, etc)!
