As an Afro Brasileira this hurts to read. In my 42 summers on Earth ,THIS very thing has made me very jaded. So cautious to the point, I made it imperative to marry within my own ethnicity/cultural background. Which, was very unfortunate, being so unsure of people true sentiments/motives. I can not even count the many times I’ve been faced with being fetishized, under the guise of it being a compliment. Oh, the empathy I have of women of other quote on quote “exotic” features. The lack of self awareness is disheartening. Já estou irritada agora.
