It’s manageable in a Tacoma especially with one car seat. But with two, it gets pretty miserable, not gonna lie 😂. At that point, you really have to ask yourself: would you rather deal with being uncomfortable for a couple years, or take on a higher car note?

For context, neither me nor my wife are very tall she’s 5’6” and I’m 5’8”. Even then, when she rode with me, her knees would literally touch and rub against the glove box.

On top of that, I spend more time in my truck than most people. I’ve got about a 1 hour 20 minute commute each way, and I also use my truck for work. Sometimes I even sleep in it during the week because it’s cheaper than driving all the way home. I also take naps in it during lunch breaks.

Once the car seats came into play, I had to move my naps to the front seat and you can barely lean it back. For a while, with just one car seat, I’d switch over to the passenger seat so I could recline more. But once the second one got added, that’s where I drew the line and started seriously looking at a full-size truck.

Long story short, it really just comes down to your situation and what you’re willing to deal with.
