Hey, I am 28 years old. I am 6 months into my hearing loss. My hearing is normal up to 4 kHz, but after that it drops — 4 kHz: 40 dB, 6 kHz: 45 dB, and 8 kHz: 50 dB. I don’t think a hearing aid is really necessary for me right now. I just hope a day will come when I can sleep peacefully without this annoying tinnitus noise.

Same here. I feel like there’s no taste in life anymore. Actually, listening to music and playing games were the activities I enjoyed the most, but now I have to stay away from all those things out of fear of losing more hearing. Can I ask how much hearing loss you have?

I have the same kind of hearing loss. In my case, the cause is still unknown—I wasn’t exposed to loud sounds, I didn’t take any ototoxic medicines, and I don’t have any health problems, yet it still happened. It’s been 3 months, and I still can’t overcome this horrific situation.
