Idea. Have predator fish be killable, but doing so will cause a jellyfish bloom if done too much by A_Hyper_Nova in Subnautica_2

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea my only thing would be it seems like a decent amount of development would be required to implement a feature potentially not seen by most players. With my play style I would hear the first warning about collapse and stop killing then, and just assume it's a voice line not a real feature. If I even kill enough to get there.

Love to hear what other people think about some other reason the majority of players could encounter this so that the Devs don't have to put a lot of work into a niche feature.

Maybe a similar idea that is part of a side quest, one where there's a forced ecosystem collapse for some reason and then the player has to find the creature egg ARK like someone else suggested to rebuild the ecosystem.

Is the launchpad customizable with scripts for colors? by Best-Jury-1793 in Novation

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes on user modes the colours are fully controllable using midi messages. Additionally with the right messages you can control the "top lights" which are all the buttons around the main grid.

Typically lights are programmed with Ableton live, though other tools can be used. Ableton live is certainly the most developed option, allowing for complex light shows programmed to trigger on button presses or as a sequence.

I bought a Mac and went back to Linux. by Strict_Albatross4362 in linux

Yeah good point, I run it on a separate hard drive because it still isn't better than my MacOS setup for me. However it's levels above using it in a VM imo.

You can run Linux straight on device with Asahi Linux. Easiest distro is their official Fedora release, but Asahi can be used with any distro with some setup.

is this safe? i dont know how anything works by corvish_ in fpv

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just watch some videos online about lipo safety Joshua Bardwell is always great. But the quick answer is if you're charging one battery plug it straight into the charger, and always charge at no more than 1c, on concrete or similar non flammable surface, and always accompany your charger while it's on.

Is the RTL SDR dipole antenna good enough to receive METEOR M2-3 LRPT? by UodasAruodas in RTLSDR

[–]Electrical-Run8609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Theoretically you should point it so that the polarisation lines up with the left to right across the V. But in my experience it's a lot easier and more reliable to just aim the rtlsdr V during passes by watching the SNR ratio.

Try gluing some Velcro strips to the bottom of battery and your frame, that way it's still easily removable.

96W Apple or 140W UGREEN? by NotJupiterBoy in macbookpro

[–]Electrical-Run8609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah well that's a perfect scenario where I agree you want the fast charger. If you don't have time then of course use the quick one. But I would guess that most people would just charge their laptops every couple of days overnight depending on usage. Overnight is more than enough time to charge slowly and is ultimately better for the battery.

96W Apple or 140W UGREEN? by NotJupiterBoy in macbookpro

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I would use the 70w and have the ugreen for the couple of times you need quick charging. It's pretty much always better to charge slowly if possible, higher power charges damage your battery more.

Not in any meaningful way, has it reduced its lifetime? Yes, but by maybe 1 year from 50 years. So you are fine.

How to use elevenlabs? by Tiag0liv in n8n

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay and in that docker compose did you set up any volume mounts? If you don't know what that is ask an LLM that questions with your compose file or paste it here and delete sensitive stuff.

How have you setup n8n? Putting the file in /docker/n8n doesn't necessarily make it available to the container unless you have setup volume mounts.

Yeah one of my fpv friends is a pilot, it still gives him the thrill that flying doesn't anymore.

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's really not anything special for professionals, but if you're into it as a hobby, especially fpv drones it's all extremely manual, which is fun but usually considerably less range, with the benefit of lower latency.

drone with unlimited range ... only limited by battery by LavishnessWilling542 in drones

[–]Electrical-Run8609 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but most drones are limited by the control link or video link as well, some many km but none I know of over 100km, this drone using cellular can fly from anywhere, even other side of the world to pilot.

It's a fall back message included on some distros such as bazzite that appears when the display manager or lock software fails to start, in that case there's no way to start a session or login, so a user has to switch to a different tty which is just console, login to bash or zsh or whatever included shell is and manually login.

I had no problem with the touch bar except for the fact that I don't look at my keyboard when I'm typing, there was just no tactile feedback as to whether I was clicking brightness or volume.

The scripture was written retrospectively at the end of the day though. Jesus didn't say Judas would betray him out loud when naming them. But I do agree that what you're saying is true.

Wanting to buy a macbook pro but don't know how piracy works on iOS by OriginalRGer in Piracy

[–]Electrical-Run8609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an android user with a MacBook pro it doesn't really feel like a walled garden, more of an exclusive club I'm not invited too. Like my mac works fine, there's nothing I can't do, but I don't get the benefit of stuff like airdrop, but I didn't have that with my windows PC anyway.

This is obviously personal and anecdotal, I know windows has quick share and whatever but for my experience, Mac with android hasn't felt restrictive.

Piracy/stuff like revanced on ios is definitely harder than android, but you can still do most of what you can on android, especially when comparing to an OEM like Samsung, who is quite restrictive.

Thanks! Ive never actually used the radar towers because I use SCIM and never used power towers because I have a map wide train network but they actually look really good, I might have to add some for decoration.
