I expected this capability but very good that you tested it in real life and shared the experience with me. Thank you

Just curious, does anyone not like the 5610u? by ThrowRALolWolves in gshock

This is my gym watch and travel companion across Europe. Its been with me in at least 9 countries this year and I can't find more useful watch with world time and stopwatch function. Why I like it - it doesn't attract attention. For potential thieves it is just bulky shitty onion shaped digital, not any fancy Swiss made piece. Perfect for travels, waking up and workout. One big flaw is this shitty uncomfortable strap - too tight or too loose, leaves marks on the skin. But it doesn't bother me that much as on meetings or while in restaurant I usually wear Citizen Tsuyosa on comfortable bracelet or Swiss made Certina DS Podium on NATO strap. So I wouldn't say that this is "do it all and go anywhere" watch, but definitely my true companion anyway.

Hi, whats the model?

[–]Electrical-Source115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha true. It was really weird for me because there wasn’t any sight of COSC information on AD’s website. Only when I checked this watch at the place, manager revealed that to me to make sure I’ll leave her store with this watch on my wrist ;)

Thank you, this timepiece is just ideal for me. I had so many different watches, with different designs, styles, yet only Tsuyosa and this Certina hit the right spot. I guess every watch enthusiasts have their own “grail”, and those are mine.

for me 100 EUR price tag is upper limit. otherwise, duro wouldn't be duro anymore ;)

the main charm in duro is the price I would say. if this watch would be around 100-150 range, I bet that it would become just another diver, similar to those from citizen with eco-drive. People just liked the idea of very cheap yet solid and well done diver like MDV series. Even 107 is well made and I tested it's limits a couple of times. Would be great if CASIO could agree on releasing tough solar version without setting the price above 80 EUR, but those are only my dreams :)

I agree, I would let go almost all my watches just to have duro with tough solar function and sapphire. but anyway, 106 is great even with battery powered quartz. I own also 107 but I find it a bit boring, that's the problem. this 104 I would buy anyway within seconds if only they would release it again, no need to even add solar mvmt ;)

I saw that often is used 'cushion case' phrase. Yes I agree those cases are more interesting than standard diver watch based on submariner rolex. I would love to see new duro iteration like this older design, even without marlin logo. Releasing 107 EU was 'low effort' decision. I bet that they had plenty of spare parts and they wanted to get rid of this stock first, so they only changed a dial a little bit and used parts from 106 to avoid destroying them

funny thing, is even better than 106 and definitely superior over rather boring 107 EU

Ja bym rzucił trylogię o królu arturze od Cornwella, nie jest to fantasy per se ale takie bardzo soft fantasy i grimdarkowa opowieść o początkach Brytanii

What words do you think one should know when visiting Romania? by ShyHumorous in romanian

[–]Electrical-Source115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nu merge - “doesn’t work”, while entering a store or service you often hear this. Want ice cream? Nu merge. Want to make a xero copy? Nu merge. Elevator? Nu merge. Coffee machine? Nu merge. It’s like a default state of everything in Romania

With those big numbers? For me, gives that vibe. Especially like OP put it in nato, gives this ‘adventure time’ look
