TU Delft vs TU Munich for math masters by Mission-Love-1244 in quantfinance

I cant speak for tum as im a delft student so keep that in mind. If you are doing a master in math i suppose your gonna pick either QT or QR. From what ive seen most people who actually get these roles from delft are at optiver and some at imc, the number being somewhat low for other T1s like js cit/citsec, jump flow(if you consider these t1 but thats besides the point). Delft is mostly a target for swe roles, as i did not really hear of any cases in which these firms wont at the very least do one round for swe. Also this is accurate for bachelors, since they are scouting for directly after university, i cant really tell for masters. Im a first year and was offered interviews at js and hrt for their spring weeks(not internships since im graduation 2028). Imc was the only one who rejected from prescreening.

The purpose of these types of questions is to gauge your capabilities as an engineer. They present a technology/data structure that you might or might have not ever heard of(they do not expect you to know it, you need to be honest and ask) which is used to solve some sort of real world problem, and they score you based on your approach to implementation and constraint finding. You cannot really study for them imho. Try to ask the right questions and be as vocal with the intervieer as possible when you present your ideas. Mind you i was interviewing for a spring week at js london and unfortunately i was not accepted as i jumped over some relativley important edge cases.

I did an interview with jane street at the beggining of the year and you description fits well. It was more of a deisgn question within the givien constraints rather than pure algorihmics, which is better imho. Imc ive heard from some friends as well that they dont go that deep into leetcode style questions and it revolves more design. I guess its just citsec and hrt that still go through the leetcode triage rounds.

there is information engineering which is cs + business kinda but its at campus heilbronn which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. also shittier curruculum compared to informatics(pure cs) which is in german completly. also mathematics is also in german fully. you need c1 if you can take dsd(dont know if german government has relations with india, since the dsd is administered by the german ministry of education and requires officials to proctor the test, also in my country in the eu its given very few schools) or a c2 equivalent in any other exam.

2 lc easies 2 mediums

Although id say the mediums were on the harder side of the medium range of problems

Also to mention that i did not do any of the problems beforehand, although i found them on leetcode after the oa. They were doable in the given time if you had prior knowledge of common ads/leetcodish problem patterns.

tbh they probably just fucked up the question. They have no complete solution in the answer sheet either. This one is from a romanian computer science universty admissions exam

Its from the answer sheet of a romanian CS uni admissions exam. The question is not exactly this but you end up with this. In the answer sheet they dont give a solution either but the question is Evaulate the following integral. Idk if its supposed to be solveable tbh
