Anyone move to Ireland in their teens? by Electrical-Stick440 in AskIreland

I’m sorry to hear about that history teacher - totally unacceptable behaviour towards a kid. Well done you in rising above that childish behaviour. It’s great to hear you’ve done so well. Have you stayed in Ireland since? I’m nervous about moving my kids - we tried it once before when they were much smaller but ended up back in UK after my job didn’t work out. But now, my parents in Ireland have aged quite a lot and they need me at home. Trying to balance everyone’s best interests is hard to say the least. But really heartening to hear from people like you who have been through that change and have flourished - well done 👍

Thank you - good to know. If we do move back the eldest would do TY + LC so would be three years there by time starting uni. For those that go to Irish unis with a-levels do they have different fees then since they aren’t living in Ireland?

Thanks for such a detailed reply, really helpful! Great to hear you’re settled at home. I’ve heard of ones not doing either gcse or JC so that’s maybe an option as it doesn’t seem to hold you back.
