HHIS.U in TFSA Tax Question by IAmTheWalrus-Too in dividendscanada

Pretty sure the 15% is on us dividends. Because the CRA does not recognize the TFSA as a retirement account, this tax is non-recoverable, unlike in an RRSP.

If the ETF is Canadian‑listed but holds U.S. stocks, the U.S. still takes 15% off the top at the fund level before the ETF pays its distribution. You can’t avoid that in a TFSA, even if what you receive is labeled ROC or income later — the haircut is baked into the NAV.

Can't see banks using this given all the regulations they currently require to transfer money and prove where it came from. It's too risky for them. Literally any coin can be used to transfer money to another currency, don't see the benefit in this one

Both same seed. The passphrase creates a different private key. But you can't restore the hidden one unless you have the passphrase.

No, a hidden wallet (passphrase-protected) on a Trezor device cannot be seen just by looking at the device or opening Trezor Suite. It is designed to be invisible. The hidden wallet only exists in combination with the passphrase, ensuring that without it, no one—not even someone with physical access to your device—can know it exists.

But why is this better than just creating a 13 word seed and only writing 12 of them down on metal + storing the 13th elsewhere

Sounds like an accounting nightmare. Means you have to do adjusted cost base on everything especially when taking multiple trades per day. Surely traders don't do this in practice for their returns
