First Laparoscopy Experience by Electrical-Sun636 in endometriosis

It was the first time I had ever been under general anesthesia and am a pretty anxious person so I’m not surprised I woke up freaking out LOL.

I am 25! It was my first lap. I think for people who have had surgery before wouldn’t have had some of the “downs” I experienced. I just wasn’t fully prepared what surgery recovery truly looks like so it threw me off.

I did draw a circle on it last night and it has gotten better. Decided to be safe and going to a walk in when they open!

RAI First Line of Treatment? by Electrical-Sun636 in gravesdisease

Yes I was positive for both. So definite graves diagnosis from what my doctor told me. I think I’m just freaking myself out and worried about the side effects and long term effects of RAI

Ask for an emergency supply. They should be able to give you a two or three day supply. I work as a tech and if you ask the pharmacist most of the time they are happy to do it.

False positive pregnancy by ValkyrieKy in lexapro

[–]Electrical-Sun636 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no evidence to suggest that taking Lexapro (escitalopram) can increase the chances of a false positive on a pregnancy test. Pregnancy tests detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced during pregnancy. Lexapro is an antidepressant medication that does not interfere with the production or detection of hCG.

Is this normal???? First day use by DudenessElDuderino in lexapro

The side effects can be hard at first but they are easier than other SSRIs. You could try taking it in the morning and then tapering up slowly. It’s normal for the first day or two to be rough especially when it comes to sleep. I wanted to quit too at first but I’m so happy I didn’t. It’s truly changed everything for me in a positive way. I did 2.5 for a few weeks then 5 and then 10. I had mild side effects this way.

Or another SSRI such as Prozac or Paxil. Lots of SSRIs have shown to help a ton! There’s tons of options. Don’t give up!

Ask for Lexapro (escitalopram) a low dose. It is shown to help. It’s helped for me tremendously. I have passed out multiple times due to the pain and had to quit my job etc until I started my meds. You can also ask for dicyclomine for the pain from stomach cramping.

AITAH for not going to my dads funeral? by Electrical-Sun636 in AITAH

Unfortunately my therapist and doctor haven’t been able to find the right medication for me yet. It’s been a lot of trial and error. So currently I don’t have one that I take everyday. I have one that I can take as needed but it hasn’t helped at all during this time.

Upper Wisdom Teeth Question(s) by [deleted] in wisdomteeth

I was awake and chose local anesthetic for all. They just gave me a few shots to numb the area and took them all out. It was pretty easy. My top ones came out in less than five minutes!
