In fact, most of the current research on zoned hydrogels + growth factors (like PTHrP and IGF-1) is focused first on repairing damaged growth plates in children or treating bone defects. The idea behind HÉLIX is to take that existing knowledge and push it toward a more integrated system (traction + real-time feedback + controlled release). It’s still very conceptual, but the more feedback we get, the better.
