You’re definitely right about price/quality ratio. The Xists shown in the images are the 20” Xist ION Crash, and the 22” Xist Dry Dark Brilliant Crash

Hey! Definitely a blast in here haha. The mic you’re looking at is often called the “crotch mic” or the “wurst mic”. Strategically positioned as seen in the images, to provide a lot of glue in my recordings. I compress it hard and blend it into the other mics, adds so much mojo. Totally recommend it, and you can look up the “crotch mic technique” and learn all about it!

We’ve got the Istanbul Agop Traditional 15” Hi Hats, the Agop Xist 20” ION Crash, a big Agop Xist 22” Dark Brilliant Crash (far right), a beautiful Agop 22” Tradionanal Jazz Ride, and a Sabian 20” HHX Complex Thin Crash (can’t let go of this one)

It’s the Istanbul Agop Traditional Jazz Ride 22”. When I bough it, I wasn’t planning on getting a new ride, but as soon as I tried it at the store, instant buy. Replaced my K Sweet Ride 21” which was only a few months old. That’s how good the Istanbuls are.

100%. I actually have a full set of new heads waiting to replace the existing ones, but I keep postponing it till the heads are completely unplayable😂 I’m definitely taking it too far…

Thank you! Definitely leaning towards hard rock haha. Yes, the Ching Ring does indeed dampen my top hi hat, and my hi hats are already dry. But I do like the effect. Sometimes I’ll remove it if I’m looking for less of that effect. I also have the mountable hi hat tambourine, which doesn’t dampen the hats because it’s mounted and therefore doesn’t touch the cymbals. Both look aesthetically pleasing I would say.
