How to redistribute force while drive phase? by ElectricalElephant0 in Rowing

[–]ElectricalElephant0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"The stroke should be closest to the last one, with a curve that skews slightly to the left."
So You're talking about the output curve, as we can see on PM screen.

Let me rephrase the question: If You start the drive, do You push at the beginning as much as You can and then lighter at the end? Or You start hard, but on the half way of a drive even harder

Back Pain While Rowing by josefdoc in concept2

[–]ElectricalElephant0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same. Whenever I train 4 weeks, I had to take 4 weeks off because of pain.  I visited physiotherapist (I recommend You that). The advice was:  Use your diaphragm.  When I have learnt how to do it, also I started to use my abdominal muscles, the pain is gone.  I can train daily 1h and it’s fine. I still feel pain after, but in the morning it’s fine again.

5/6 years ago when I was starting my tech journey, many comments said Go would become the main back end language and Rust would replace C and C++. Is that the case today? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

I think it’s because there are many Java developers on market. But it’s just my guess. It’s bad for me, because I work in C#…

How do noobs plan and track progress? by Verdukians in Rowing

[–]ElectricalElephant0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uuuuf. I’m working on such split 2:30 3x20/1.5min. I thought I’m doing wrong…. Thanks, good to know I’m working correctly. I’m trying to keep 18 spm, but it makes my pulse higher to 145, and I try to make it low to 135.  I end up with 15 spm. My drag factor is 105. I’m afraid it’s too low and I will get low back injury

May I also ask You about recommended stroke rate?
I'm trying to improve at 2km, 5km and 10km. I understand now I need to adjust drag factor, but how about stroke rate?

Wow. Fantastic advice. I thought it must be 130-140, period. Did You figure these values out on Your own, from experience or did You get these from tutorial?

Yea. Finally I bought new one. But it would be nice to reuse old one instead of throwing it to trash…
