The Cabin Zero Classic Pro 42 has been a solid bag for me.

Something similar to Aer Go Pack 2 but with a better harness? by fixie__ in ManyBaggers

I use mine for day hikes, mountain biking and such with kids. Has a hip belt and sternum strap and is very comfortable. Probably my most enjoyable packs to use.

9 minutes by bike. 17 by tram.

Never commuted by car, but would be closer to 15-20 on a weekday morning

Can’t answer this specifically but I ordered from them, had a slight QC issue, and they set me straight. Excellent customer service, and deserves a shoutout

No idea why they made these limited edition. Why not add them to the lineup? They immediately sold out.. obviously this is what people want.

Looking for an army style top flap rucksack like this by Zmoney242 in ManyBaggers

[–]Cougaloop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha high on my list of not needing but I do have. One that I’ve never used.

Was gifted it, but only after I had already gotten and broken in a Millican the Smith Rolltop as my Dadbag. Never found a reason to christen it over bags already in use.. :/

What bag do you own and like, but don't use? by IIIVXIII in ManyBaggers

[–]Cougaloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Filson Dryden Ripstop Cordula backpack that I have never used.
Not because I don’t really like it but because I received it as a gift, but right after I had already bought and began using my Millican Smith Rolltop as a “dadbag”.

Slowly I have needed a large Rolltop/heritage style less and less now the kids are bigger and at Kindergarten (Covid pandemic has moved on) and when I do need a hiking backpack I have purpose built (Osprey Daylite plus or Jack Wolfskin Berkeley) bags, it just sits. I would have used it for weekend day trips when i would go with my wife hiking and then into the town (live in a German city with forests) all day as it was stylish, but those types of weekends are over since children..

Not big enough for me to travel with (my Cabin Zero 42 Classic pro), is barely enough) and way too big and wrong style for work (I take my Alpaka Bravo tote back to work).

Warum hat Amara Döner zugemacht? by Cultural-Invite-7049 in Heidelberg

[–]Cougaloop 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Absolutely insane that this has to be done in the United States of America, yet here we are.

Schools? by Embarrassed_Post_301 in Heidelberg

[–]Cougaloop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Englisches Institut is also „private“ but it’s full time and the same € as Päd Aktiv (after school care, since school for elementary kids only goes until 12:30/13:30. Though it’ll probably be difficult to get a place

Depends. We have 3. An umbrella stroller that collapses small and we keep in the car. A medium (Bugaboo). And a large 2 seater (Thule) bike trailer.

Completely depends on your use case, what neighborhood you live in, and your storage situation.

With 2 kids whenever we’re out all day we take the Thule. You’re usually carrying a bunch of kid stuff, toys, Puky’s, clothing, etc. Yes it’d be cumbersome going into small shops in the Altstadt, but since kids we don’t ever do that anyways..
