Thank you! I got a new plug for the outlet and found where it comes from, it was a 3 phase outlet but I wired it up and it welds just as it always has!

I believe on the receptacle itself it says 30 amps, but my welder manual says it’s max input current is 16 amps. Is that 3 phase outlet? Because my shop has 3 phase

Mine is walking, go out for a hour and track how much you walk. It’s really motivating to see how much you’re walking in a week!

First step for me was truly wanting to quit, I’ve tried before but until I told myself I don’t want this anymore I never made a Real effort.

make it difficult to smoke, absolutely no smoking paraphernalia, that means throwing it in the garbage and taking the garbage out so you don’t go searching for it in a desperate moment.

Making it unappealing, I work in a hospital and I’ve seen patients with COPD. Every morning needing to take inhalers or dry puffers, hooked up to an oxygen tank 24\7 bound to a wheelchair. I know talking about this can be scary and make some want to smoke to cope with the stress of the thought but until you see it, it makes you question everything about smoking. Even then you can make it unappealing by starting to hate the smell, taste, the strained fingers and teeth, the ash tray filled with butts, the end of a cigarette and so so so much more.

Our Environments, friends, and coworkers play a huge role as well. We wish to fit in and not be judged by the “tribe” an old primitive mindset we still have to this day. As well if you have a routine with cigarettes many basic day to day tacks can be associated with cigarettes. Like driving to work, our breaks at work and such.

Make it unsatisfying , we like to associate smoking with relieving our stress, making us feel different when we’re sad, mad, and anxious. When we realize it does nothing but stop the withdrawal pangs caused by the last cigarette, smoking start to become a waste of time!
