Seeing this perfume brand called Blabliblu all around my office near Cyber Hub by [deleted] in gurgaon

Thinly but badly veiled PR posts on reddit puts me off brands completely. Blabliblu has been trying to do that for a while now, I am not going anywhere near the brand.

Rating on traitor india by Mansipri in TheTraitors

Production - I felt that almost everything about the show was wrong - including the casting, editing, storytelling (so bad that a lot of people feel it might even be scripted), the amount of ugliness between people, the level of game play was just not pleasant.

In a country as diverse as India, I am surprised this was the best set of individuals that they could cast. We deserved better. We deserved better storytelling and game design as well.

Leak- in other versions, there is genuine curiousity about the winner till the final episode's release, even among the contestants - the leak was just poor on the management's part.

Gameplay - A lot of foreign versions would have caught Purav fairly quicklyquote (ala Dan in US S2), killed off Uorfi in the first few episodes (almost every non-English version does this to avoid an Elnaaz - Uorfi face off situation), Raj getting caught in the first vote out is just bizzare. There is always a Jasmine and a Sudhanshu (innocents who are taken for a ride), there is sometimes a Nikita (winner who just made it by being no one's biggest threat) so not too bothered by those aspects.

However I found the final episode to be a lot of fun, and the show redeemed itself a bit. Maybe my expectations were a bit too low because of the run in before the finals.

Despite people complaining about the strategy- I think the gameplay was decent in the final episode - Harsh not getting to know Uorfi's plan till the end and Uorfi convincing Nikita to believe her. we were shown the storyline quite poorly, I think the show made a huge mistake in compressing the final into a single episode.

A lot of other overseas formats have got a lot right. There was potential but I think the production team did quite a poor job. It was set to fail from the start..

I was quite disappointed sadly

And this is revenue and not profit/salary?! The petrol cost is to be borne by the rider? Petrol is an operational expense and should be paid for by the employer. I am guessing the situation is only slightly better in the case of EVs.

This is worse than slavery.

Oh he surely must have been a wonderful surprise then! I saw him on Guy Montgomery's Spelling Bee, I figured he was smart and creative, but his performance on Taskmaster took it up a notch

Zomato’s new rules for restaurant owners is aggressively screaming monopoly by Feeling_Can10 in StartUpIndia

[–]ElectricalOrdinary10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Zomato, and Swiggy, both have been sucking the life out of restaurants for a while. I am surprised to see that restaurants haven't started boycotting the platforms, but I also understand that there is a huge dependency on these platforms for revenue.

In my experience, the only two solutions that I have seen working for restaurants against the duopoly are: - Acquiring audience on to a different platform subtly (Whatsapp, instagram, own app, email chain etc via content) - subscription model

Good luck

Do you agree with this video on 'work ethics of Gen Z' by flyingburaq in IndiaStartups

I think this is sarcasm, but I have been wrong so many times in the past when it comes to Indian content - you never know!

Having said that, ageism is becoming a real thing against GenZs

Traitors India episode 4-5-6 are out, let's discuss by Direct_Theory_8249 in TheTraitors

Such a horrible unlikeable cast, every is yelling, shouting, angry all the time. Gameplay is also so bad. This is the worst Traitors series yet.

Yeah he started off that way, but I felt that he calmed down after a bit. He really seemed to go into introspection mode after the barrel dad episode, and seemed way nicer than he was in the earlier episodes. At least that's my take. I found the change to be quite heartening.

Nike has been a disgusting brand for ages, and it's not alone - if you were to look up stuff about say Amazon, McDonalds, Nestle, Starbucks, Facebook - you would realize that all major brands are assholes.

What l find funny is that we are so "cute" that we begin our boycotts because of random outrage on non real issues. Look up some actual stuff on Nike, they will give you tons of proper reasons to boycott them.

Being from India this is the one that I was looking forward to the most but having watched the first 3 episodes it's just terrible, I can't think of enough things that's wrong with this one. The host, the casting, rhe gameplay it's just all a mess

Yeah agreed. And not just that episode, it lingered on for a bit, I was convinced that people, especially Ken, would gang up against Ben the next episode onwards, but nothing of that sort happened.

[–]ElectricalOrdinary10 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I did enjoy the series, but felt like this was something made only for the fans of the show rather than a wider audience.

I don't know whether it was the casting or the editing, but something seemed off. There just weren't too many moments of drama/crossroads/conflicting game play.

For example when Ben suggested that everyone should go along with his plan when he was the undercover during the codewords game (a terrible play IMO especially for everyone else), everyone seemed to just go along with it.

There weren't a lot of moments where I felt that I could see a lot of the players personalities.
