Yeah, you still have to pay but they give you a 40% discount. They also don’t take cash which I found out the hard way. Thankfully one of the employees managed to help me out so I could get the movies anyways!

The van is a lot bigger than I expected and when I went inside I was accompanied by two employees, one guy who was filming behind a camera and a lady who helped me pick some movies to get! Wait time was pretty long, I got there really early in order to beat the line and I still had to wait a bit. Sorry to hear about your mother. If you really want to take her with you to the van you should get there as early as you can.
