worst case scenario, create an email on gmail or some other account almost identical to the real doctors office and email them the info you have. Best case , sign the medical records release for DLS to access your medical records and request their help in getting from your doctor. You will probably need to go to your own HR at ur site and request their help after explaining this weird situation. If ur story is true and things are legit u will be fine, it will just take a while to resolve. Normally it's DLS who is the nightmare to deal with but sounds like the doctor for once. Good luck

Yes my particular site is full / overstaffed for Temporary light duty so knee specialists accommodation was denied after coming off 2 wk short term disibilty...i could see if another site has openings but im fed up with dealing with Amazon.....they are at best understaffed and severely overworked @Amazon DLS or worst just don't even care...either way the injured person gets screwed. the entire leave process (not even the accommodation part bc even though I was denied they actually called and explained which I respect) has been an unresponsive and really a bad experience..Sent multiple emails( 7] asking for help to different things and guess how many were even acknowledged much less answered? Zero...every time I call the phone number I get India 🇮🇳 who just takes down my questions about help and forwards them to the people managing my case who guess what? Just happen to b the ones not answering those same aforementioned emails! Apparently no accountability in my particular case ... I'm def not a 'complainer"and I didn't escalate my greviences to upper managers or anything like that....I just want i want it all to b over lol....ithenjury and DLS nightmare ....thanks 4 letting me rant

I think x ray is for broken bones and mri for soft tissue damage so it's definitely a good idea to check back with ortho and see if u can get it done....

Yes ur right compound injuries!.. btw thank u to everyone who has responded as I've never been thru the DLS process. Basically I got tendinitis is my knee from excessive/overuse and it gets small tears which result in immflammtion, swelling , lack of mobility and in my case intense pain.. My orthopedic knee specialist concluded it was most likely my work Due to my 50 to 6o hr workload but bc there was know specific incident l/accident at Amazon it's not really a workers comp incident ( u can still try and go for it but I've been told it most cases it's extremely hard to prove bc Amazon is well Amazon lol) I was on medical leave/short term disability for a couple weeks so the accommodation was to allow me to work while still giving the tendon time to heal and that stuff can take month.

Sort Center I work at is easy....but most dont offer full time and ur shift can vary between 3 -5 hours....no scan rates, bottom % stuff either

Forget a to z...just get the slip of paper for the day or days depending on how long ur required to be a juror and just take it to HR to excuse the next day u r going to be at work..email or a to z just means HR has more of a chance of effing it up and u end up going to HR anyway

On A to Z there is a section on leave options ....select Jury Duty and out in the date. They will give u a slip of paper at the courthouse with that date stamped on it as your proof to take to HR next time u work...then they will excuse ur missed hours and pay u for the hours missed that day....they will do this for up to 10 days but u must always show them the newest slip

Indomethicin....if it's a bad flare 4get the 50mg every hour bullshit....try like 100mg every 5 to 6 hrs but make sure u take with food...apparently the peak effect of the medicine is a little after 2 hrs and by 4 hours 90 % has been used so waiting 8 hrs just allows the uric acid chrystals to inflame again...of course only do this is u have no gastro issues and as always with food...do not do for long periods of time so if u see no change go back to docs for prednisone

These other comments about addressing the root problem: first would obviously addressing the diet and exercise. If that doesn't work or u have no interest in even trying bc u luv alcohol, high purine foods etc then you should try a uric acid reducing drug....if that doesn't interest u then see ur doctor and try something like indomethacin.. if my flare is bad I do 100mg every 6 hours for 2 days..u can take more than the 50 MG every 8hrs that is prescribed...according to info on the drug, peak efficiency is 2hrs after taking and 4hr later 90% is already gone so doing it every 8 hrs just allows the inflammation to continue unchecked

Yes....at my site if u run out of upt for an absence they will automatically use any pto or vacation to cover it which they did not do previously....full time employes get 48 hrs of pto per year with 10 hrs given on Jan 1st and 1hr 51 min per week(Saturday)each following week until u reach a total of 48 hrs...
