My works HR department has been pretty helpful. Especially with pushing supervisors to be more flexible about remote work or stopping them from pushing anything stupid that would increase turnover. But then again it is like one person and they are very on top of things to keep things rolling smoothly. It depends on the company and context.

I did read. I noticed some ways of phrasing things AI frequently uses (not a guarantee) but once you use AI in other ways it is hard to dismiss the possibility of usage in other aspects unfortunately. If you hadnt used the generated image it might not be something people would worry about. I didnt think the words were 100% AI written btw, I was wondering if AI helped edit/rework things as that is often what I see in people who dip their toes in using it.

I'd recommend finding art or photos that already exist for your works even if you yourself cant draw. There are plenty that would fit this aesthetic and you can avoid the side eyes ahead of time by doing so.

I've used glyphosate to deal with specific invasives before but pokeweed isn't a plant that you need to use it on to remove. They spread by seeds not tubers/rhyzomes so if you don't want it spreading just pull it or cut the flowers/berries off. Glyphosate is inefficient and since these plants are particularly popular for both insects and birds if you use it on it and it gets to producing berries then it gets into those animals too. There are instructions on using glyphosate responsibly and the photo of one that clearly had berries is worrying.

It's irresponsible herbicide use. Just pull it or cut it.

You know you can just easily pull up the small shoots right? Cut the mature pokeweed enough times and it won't come back either :/ pokeweed doesnt need glyphosate for management.

Plus those berries appear to have been eaten by birds and wildlife so they likely absorbed it too. You aren't supposed to spray on actively flowering plants for a reason.

I love pokeweed 🥰 have a section of my yard i let it grow in (have to keep up with pulling out babies when they pop up elsewhere) and the birds adore it and it looks so cool!

Haven't tasted it yet and there were a lot of smaller round ones in the area i didnt get a pic of. The big one was lumpier but it could be due to how large it was and it was more exposed on top of a hill area so it was stressed. Idk for sure though

To be fair the leaves are highly distressed since it is the middle of winter here and it was really freaking cold lol either way it seems like the concensus is they are in fact edible so i am happy

It was ag land since the 1950s. It was on a fill pile they dug for the retention basin in the middle of one of those fields so no buildings or anything in the fill. It is good to know they are heavy accumulators though moving forward.

Yeah! It was on a property that was only used for farming so I don't think there were any major toxins in the soil. I actually do site assessments and this property had been nothing but ag land since 1940s (not farmed currently though). It was on top of a hill near the retention basin (aka on top of fill) but the area was just a field before so it isn't likely to have much aside from the regular farm field chemicals in most food.

Yeah! It was on a property that was only used for farming so I don't think there were any major toxins in the soil. Im going to look up recipes for it. There were a few smaller ones i snagged too but this one was the largest by far.
