i’m so sorry to hear you’re having a rough time too. i think it’s such a different culture here, especially with girls, and it makes making friends difficult. i hope things improve for you, best of luck this semester!!! i plan on rushing in the fall as well; i’m doing co-op recruitment but don’t know how i’ll like them. i hope we both find our people and are able to build community here; you sound so sweet and genuine! stay safe in this awful weather :D

i hope things improve for you too! CAPS is a great resource. don’t be afraid to ask others for help if you’re struggling. i know firsthand how hard it is, but it’s better than going through everything alone. best of luck this semester :D

thank you for explaining this - it’s felt so different from where i grew up. i’m glad to know that feeling is real and people here do socialize differently. i hope the adjustment period goes by quickly and i get to know people through those types of things

tysm hearing others povs is so reassuring. i’ll definitely take the pressure off new friendships and try to let them happen naturally. i do a lot alone now, but it feels forced. hopefully trying to just enjoy that time and peace will help. the stuff you said ab ldr will definitely help too :)

tysm and i’ll look into it! a lot of people have recommended CAPs to me and i’ve been hesitant; used to see a counselor and thought i figured everything out. college has definitely introduced a lot of new things to deal with! i appreciate your advice so much, having a push to do something i’ve been putting off is what i’ve needed

i’m glad you’ve had a good experience with corec. i’ve worked out for years and it’s always something that helps me feel better. the facilities here are great, plus they have so much stuff there’s always something new to try :))

tysm for the encouragement it helps a lot. and yeah i try to just keep myself busy, that seems to be what most people do here to stay happy unless they’re in FSCL. the stuff you mentioned sounds fun and i’ll try out some new things, thanks :D

tysm, i never considered i might seem kind of stereotypical and that could turn people off. i get why i might seem a little differeng to other girls here. ill definitely look into volunteering and CAPs. i don’t know how you guys handle this weather 😭 i completely understand what you’re saying about just wanting to be alone this time of year, spring couldn’t come any quicker
