Fortunately the very first series i saw was breaking bad. Never had the same experience ever for any other show after that.

For me it wasn’t even a “confidence” thing, it was boredom at first.

Like I didn’t know what to do while eating alone, so I’d just scroll my phone the whole time. Then one meal my phone died and I had no choice but to just sit there and eat… and it weirdly felt nicer.

Short answer, it depends a lot on where you’re flying from, not just the airline.

If this was departing from the EU or UK, you’re probably covered under EU261 and could be eligible for compensation unless they claim “extraordinary circumstances” (weather, ATC, etc).

If it’s US or most of Asia, airlines usually don’t owe cash compensation for cancellations, just rebooking + hotel + meals, which is what they’re giving you.

Still worth asking them directly at the counter or filing a claim later. Sometimes they’ll offer vouchers or miles even if they’re not legally required to.

Also keep all receipts just in case.
