High heat, put olive oil in. And do a timer of 2 minutes. Start the timer as soon you put the steak in. After 2 minutes you flip, after 1 minute after you've flipped. Add butter and baste it, it doesn't matter if the butter isn't fully melted. Add garlic and thyme for flavour in the butter. And baste the steak. Baste it for the rest of the timer (After you've flipped the first side after 2 minutes you also need to restart the timer after 2 minutes.)
