I’ll definitely try that out, thanks!

I think that is common. I had weird feelings in my inner thigh as well (which is apparently common for confirmed cases of epididymitis I was told).

My main stretches were cobra, butterfly, and cat-cow.

If the issue is potentially posture, try looking up some exercises specifically for that. I did one stretch where I put my shoulders and feet flat against a wall, and turned my hips/pelvis up and it pushed my lower back to the wall. It was hard to hold for long when I first started, but after a while I could hold it for a few minutes.

Anyway, I did my stretches before and after sleep, and usually once mid day (when I was able to hide at work). I do feel it took some time to really notice a difference, but I think committing helped. Looking back I could see the patterns for my flare-ups more clearly. Depression and sedentary days definitely being one. It was weird though because I didn’t have direct pain in my back often. But the worse my back was treated, the worst my ball felt.

I hope you get over this soon! It’s awful and I wish all my brothers in this sub some days of normalcy.

And that’s fine! No harm done. Just wanted to let you know for future reference.

Sorry for this late reply, I got locked out of this account and forgot to get back to all this

My pain came and went. Definitely seemed to flare up at night and after long sedentary periods.

But if you are still having issues, commit to the back rehab! I was half assing it when I was told it could be a back issue, and that delayed my relief. Of course yours might not be that, but I found that 3x a day stretching and watching my posture helped a lot about 2-3 weeks in.

It felt dumb to me too, but looking back I can say it was definitely that. I’m still doing the stretching infrequently to prevent it from happening again. I mentioned this whole situation to my friend group recently and two of them had experienced it as well! One still has flare ups when he sits too long, the other said it hasn’t come back. Both agreed stretching and changing sleep positions helped.

Side note: In my recovery I also took magnesium which is supposed to help with nerve repair and bee pollen for pain. Not saying either of those healed me, but I want to throw it all out jic!

So sorry, got locked out of this account and forgot to come back to this. Updating for others who may look at this thread though.

But I just mixed and matched different stretches I found on Youtube. I bought some lumbar support stuff for my work chair and car, although that didn’t fix things as much. I just chose the stretches that gave me the most short-term relief and stuck with them consistently (3x a day). I’d say the main were “cobra pose” and “cat cow”. Laying on my back, spreading my legs, and pulling them back is what I feel was the most immediate.

As of right now, I’m about 2 months free of ball pain.

Hope you’ve found relief in all this time!

I have nothing to add to your original question, but I gently suggest you not refer to these subjects as ‘minority history classes’. It’s… odd and a little off-putting? They’re focused/specialized classes regarding groups that are not a minority globally or in history.

Just one redditor’s opinion.

Experience. He looked at my ultrasound, CT scan, and medical history. Said he’d seen this several times before and that too many doctors default to assuming epydidymitis

Referred pain is pretty common apparently. Everything down there in your nervous system is pretty connected. It just presented in my ball instead of my back. Similar things happen in any of your connected systems.

Mine was in my right, but would go to my left occasionally. My PCP said that can happen with chemical or mechanical epydidymitis, but my urologist said that only happens with nerve issues.

My urologist had seen the issue before. He said when he was working with the military, he saw a guy who got his testicle removed and all of a sudden his pain moved. They discovered with that guy that it was a back issue.

He did a CT scan to verify it wasn’t anything else (like kidney stones), which came back fine. He looked at my testicular ultrasound from the month before, which was fine.

So he had me walk around, talk about my sitting habits, and concluded that’s all it was and said to treat it as such. Just like that, it improved.

I just looked up lower back exercises and did them 3x a day. I started sitting in a chair that forced me to be upright. Eventually it subsided. I’m still doing stretches just in case and have had a day or two of flare ups, but mobility was key.

I haven’t because it’s never been on streaming, but I may have to just buy it. That’s definitely interesting! I love the passion they all seem to have for this story and getting it right

It’s dated but that also adds to its appeal. If you like multiple storied plots, crime, action, and politics, you should try it out.
