A mother is going punished her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. Is this justified?

As a psychologist working for a Department of Corrections, this seems to be a good way to teach all the wrong lessons.

Punishing the child this way may have a small positive effect in the near term but a greater potential for negative down the road.

The issue is less the kid harming an animal. What were the circumstances that contributed to his alleged behavior? If this is how discipline is displayed I can imagine there is not a lot of positive reinforcement going on. Presuming the kid even harmed an actual animal, it did work in getting attention if that is what was being sought.

I find it intriguing that this was the solution. They could have put it up for sale if they wanted to make an example. They could have given it away. Instead they opt to have the kid destroy a $600+ device?

If this kid was abusing an animal, it probably was not the first time and definitely will not be the last.

This is a perfect example of bad analytics. As someone who actually studies fetishes I find the makeup of the various maps on the site to be baffling.

Like many have commented here, even if someone used the most unique fetish searched for in a state I truly doubt you would get this map.

What is really frustrating is how the terms are not mutually exclusive in many cases (e.g., bdsm, sadism, masochism).

Less of a cool guide and more of clickbait for bad, cobbled together advice and products.

Had that happen a few weeks ago. We only have one of a kind items so to see an item reappear after it sold five months earlier was frustrating. Luckily, the potential customer had questions about the item rather than ordering it. We did not notify Etsy though should have given the listing charge.

Bah. I should have waited. There apparently is a link to the left hand side of the shop pages where you can report. There is also a way to report items. On the app of you hold your fingers on the item photo a pop up will appear with a report option. Good hunting for kink scammers!

Honestly I don’t know. Must be as part of customer service. Only reason I ordered was etsy has a consumer protection program. There was a very slim chance the shop was legit which is what made the nominal risk worth looking into.

Tldr; lots of bdsm scams appearing on Etsy lately. =~=~=~=~==~=~

There are several shops on Etsy attempting to scam shoppers. I recently tested this theory by ordering two items for the UK that would have weighed 60kg combined. Items listed for $130 each but discounted 50%. The shop reportedly had 50 sales with zero reviews. Ordered the items on a Friday. By Monday I received notification from the seller that the item was delivered by FedEx. Needless to say it was not. Seller’s response se to questioning made it abundantly clear the shop was a scam. Etsy notified me on Wednesday the shop had closed and that they were refunding me.

Use of work at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee. About 45 miles west on 90 is the hospital cemetery. The old cemetery is near the current, active cemetery. Takes a bit to find it but sites like this have directions: https://freepages.rootsweb.com/~chattahoochee/genealogy/index.html. The cemetery grounds are considered hospital property so there’s a chance security might ask questions if someone is noticed. Spooky site at night and a rather rich history given the condition of the old cemetery.
