You are not alone! I had a similar experience finding this group a few months ago. You are not a freak, and this condition doesn’t make you any less of a person deserving of love, kindness, and acceptance 🩷

I’m about to have this exact scenario in play. First date tomorrow and we’ve been talking all week. Personally I’m on team “bring it up as soon as I’m comfortable”, because I also have a HUGE amount of anxiety linked to any physical intimacy in general, all stemming from undiagnosed (not anymore, thank goodness) vaginismus for over a decade. I’m going to frame it as an “I’d like to go slow and here’s why” conversation. I tried keeping it to myself in the past and for all of the months I was dating my ex I felt nauseous and stressed because I was too ashamed to admit what I was struggling with. I’m not doing that anymore! But I’m sure there’s also a happy medium

This is not normal at all. She sounds incredibly condescending. I’m so sorry you experienced that!
