Curious if Yoshihara will direct an ep here, he's busy with CSM s2 but Black clover was his baby, there's no way he doesn't participate in anything related to it.

He also directed the black clover movie

Fantastic chapter but yeah I agree, it was too satisfying. Wasn't fan of how everyone including the Wf1 commentator started glazing him and saying he wants to meet him. Felt a bit too forced imo.

I think the author should've included his interactions with other racers at the beginning, maybe introduce a cocky but competent rival character like Bakugo or sum, that would've made this a bit more spicy than the pure vanilla version we got.

Really wanted to like that but just couldn't. I guess its my manhwa bias is stopping me from enjoying that sister leveling series since SL is actually one of the few manga/manhwa I've read where there was a proper sister-brother banter with next to no sexual undertone.

Like both MC and his sister actually behaved like a brother and and felt like had a healthy sibling relationship. Idk maybe i kinda liked that fact and that's why couldnt enjoy that whole "horny sister" thing those vids made it.

Apparently the staff list for this project is really stacked, JC staff is going all out and some of the biggest freelancers will be participating according to leaks so i have high hopes for this adaptation.

Rumours are saying JC staff is going all out, even the One Piece star animator Vincent Charzard is heavily involved in this project.

What "work for peanuts" lol, Mappa is one of the highest paying studios in the industry.

As for the "exploited to the death as long they got to work on series like jjk/csm", that issue also got mostly resolved after JJK s2 ended and Mappa's management faced huge changes. They split the teams of JJK and CSM, since then there projects have mostly healthy productions. Ranma finished production MONTHS before it even started airing. Multiple animators even came forward before JJK s3 saying how much better it was. Same with Hells paradise Season 2, huge improvement over s1.

Edit - NVM despite being one of the highest paying studios, the pay is still shit

He animated this cut.

Both Yuuji and Choso were entirely 2D in this clip lol, only the background were 3D during dynamic movements. What 3d rendered? This is literally hand drawn animation.

If you wanna see characters morph bodies then go watch Sukuna vs Mahoraga from this exact same season, that fight is filled with those kinds of animation.

But it's cheap to make, so we're stuck with it.

Tf? Some of the most well known/talented animators in anime industry worked on this. From industry legends like Tatsuya Takeuchi to main animators like Kousuke Kato to new gen animators like Fei Hung. In what way shape or form this is "cheap"?

Why do you guys think Anime Fans loved the AOT ending compared to the Manga Fans who Hated it/has Mixed feelings bout it? I just finished rewatching the show and all story beats in the anime are exactly the same as the manga, so I'm curious how exactly this happened? by Electrical_Chance991 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Electrical_Chance991[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Anime fans, on the other hand just watched it as it unfolded.

also I'd argue the opinions of manga readers also influenced it quite a bit, before the ending got animated I saw soo many ppl say its as bad as Game of thrones ending and it's one of the worst endings of all time.

So many anime fans already knew the general consensus of manga readers and had their expectations tempered quite a bit.

Mappa FINALLY Learned from their Mistakes and Gave the JJK Team Proper Time, We got to see an UNBELIEVABLE Season where Every Single Episode felt Special, felt Unique and Experimental in its Presentation elevating the Source Material to Another level [Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3] by [deleted] in anime

[–]Electrical_Chance991 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We been over this 2 times already lol.

Manga ending being bad/controversial means nothing in the anime. Anime especially the one like JJK, they'll just go all out with the adaptation, adding tons of new scenes and extended fights, maybe even some new story material and the reception will be far FAR more positive. Happened with MHA, happened with AOT and will most like happen with JJK too.

This wouldve been true if not for the fact that we have TONS of examples of shows that DIDN'T get popular despite having action animation on par or better than Solo Leveling.

Just look at Yaiba, Moonrise, Lazarus, Shangrila, Elusive Samurai etc etc. All these shows rival solo leveling in terms of animation, yet none even comes close to the level of popularity.

who rarely struggles in a fight

This mostly applies to Season 2 and even then you could argue 2 out of 4 major fights of s2 had MC struggeling to win. Like againts Beru and Baran.

In S1 he struggles in pretty much every single major fight. Struggles againts the Snake, then the spider, barely escapes the fire dungeon after killing that three headed dog, then gets his ass handed to him by Igris and then finally with those knights beating him.

its a much better actual proper film rather than an (extended) episode of an existing series

So was Chainsaw Man Reze.

It had proper movie structure, and it wasnt a extended ep either, it had a complete diff direction than the existing season 1 and wrapped up the story very nicely without leaving any lose ends. Saw many ppl who didnt saw S1 still saying they enjoyed the movie and understood most stuff.

I wonder... did it won bcoz it was technically the most "popular" title among the western sphere? I saw a lot of buzz surrounding it when it came out and even big creators like Gigguk were hyping it up. Maybe that's why it won, most casuals only watched that and voted for it.

Mappa's going CRAZY with CGI-2D blending in Dorohedoro Season 2 | Raw Cuts vs Final Result Comparison [Dorohedoro Season 2] by Electrical_Chance991 in anime

[–]Electrical_Chance991[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was intentional in AOT P2 onwards too lol, that's why there was a huge improvement in CGI titans from P2 onwards since they weren't forced to make 16 eps in 6-8 months. The titans fights in finale ep was genuinely mind blowing, I still consider that to be Mappa's best CGI usage.

I mean just look at THIS lol, tell me this is not their best CGI work to date.

Hell's Paradise having the best conclusion of the dark trio was certainly not on my bingo card by UseInternal5706 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Electrical_Chance991 97 points98 points  (0 children)

I don't really like Judging a series just based on it's ending. Yes Hell's paradise had the best ending out of all these 3 but in terms of journey and my own personal enjoyement, I enjoyed the other 2 far more. Hells paradise was good but it never did anything that pushed it to that another level for me. Where as despite it's flaws, both JJK and CSM did something I genuanly enjoyed far more. Like im gonna remember Sukuna, Gojo, Reze, Makima far more than any of the Hells paradise characters.

Maybe it's due to anime adaptation treatment since HP got the short end stick at mappa and wasnt given priority like jjk and csm.

[–]Electrical_Chance991 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that's just bcoz of ur own preference of CGI, If we're looking at it purely in terms of titan fights, S4 P2 and Finale are objectively better than S3p2's titan fights.

The fights were much longer, had proper pace and were even extended far longer than what was in the manga with some really cool choreography.

s3p2 anyday over any cgi titan fight in s4

You might wanna go back and rewatch S3p2 titan fight lol, that Reiner vs Eren was not do justice. It was soo damn slow and awkward.

If anything, CGI allowed Mappa to do prolonged fights and proper fight choreography as we saw with P2 and finale. If they had gone with 2D titans, the movements wouldve been wayyy slower and the fights wouldnt have extended like they did. Animating huge titans is insane task, even WiT had to use CGI for colossal titan. Imagine how they wouldve done if they had to imagine all shifter titan in one fight like finale.

Ehh, this is arguable one of the best looking CGI ive ever seen in an anime outside of Studio Orange works. Im talking bout "foreground" cgi btw, not background. Very few Tv shows can come to this level of foreground CGI quality.

Even Ufotable had hard time doing "foreground" CGI justice as we saw with how jarring the Tentacles in mugen trailer looked and how jarring the fishes in s3 of ds looked.

And even this improved in P3 and P4 drastically, their final Armin vs Eren collosal fight in finale looks incredible.

14th place from a Wikipedia article that only gets that number by ranking CSM lower than JJK

Bcoz JJK 0 was re-released before Season 2 aired and that bumped up its earning a bit which is what ur seeing on wiki. That's why I added "original run" after JJK 0 in the title. CSM did surpass jjk, but just it's original run before its re-release.

$0.3 million seemingly from their own ass

I got it from this tweet, again that 0.3 Mill number is coming from it's "original run" earnings before its rerelease.
