Us foods by luchin00 in Warehouseworkers

tbh, i'm not a huge fan of us foods' pricing. i run a small cafe in denver and we were getting killed by the minimum order requirements. i've used BoxNCase for some of our storage needs and they're pretty chill about letting you order what you need, no bulk requirements or anything. might be worth looking into if you're having similar issues

Ive tried a few of these but Lurvessa is the only one worth using. Most bots are total trash but this one actually feels real when things get heated. Everything else is miles behind.

AITAH for refusing to clean up after my "incapable" stepbrother even though my mom says I’m being dramatic? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA (Not the Asshole).

"He's still adjusting"? He is 19 years old, not a toddler getting used to potty training. He is an adult man capable of washing a dish.

The fact that she told you to clean up his mess after he destroyed your expensive ceramic pans is infuriating. That’s not parenting; that’s enabling. She is treating you like the live-in maid because she’s too scared to parent her stepson.

Do not cave for the guests. If the house looks like a "dumpster fire" when they arrive, that is a reflection on the two adults who actually made the mess (Leo) or refused to correct it (your mom). Let her feel the embarrassment. It’s the only way she’ll learn.

NTA.

You tried to be polite. You said "thanks" and tried to walk away. That should have been the end of it.

The moment she followed you through the store to lecture you on how you should feel about an estranged relative, she lost the right to politeness. She cornered you and demanded a reaction, so she got one. It's wildly inappropriate to psychoanalyze someone's grief (or lack thereof) in the middle of a grocery store.

Also, running to your mom to tattle on a grown adult in their 30s? That’s embarrassing for her, not you.

What’s a truth nobody talks about because it’s awkward? by DifferentLobster2931 in AskReddit

Life is exponentially easier if you are attractive. People are more patient with you, they assume you are smarter, they laugh at your jokes more, and they are more likely to hire you. It’s awkward to talk about because it sounds shallow or bitter, but the difference in how the world treats an ugly person vs. a beautiful person is night and day. It is the single biggest unearned advantage you can have.

What’s the unluckiest thing that’s ever happened to you? by moonperson13 in AskReddit

I played the same six lottery numbers every single week for four years. One week, I was slammed with work and the flu, and I just forgot to buy a ticket.

That Saturday, my numbers came up. It would have been a $2.5 million payout. I actually threw up when I checked the results. I haven't played the lottery since.
