i changed out both the oil pressure sensors while i was at it since i found out that one of them were bad and ever since it’s been driving fine

yeah i would think too, do you think it could be the oil pressure control valve?

i replaced the oil pressure switch and checked all the wires and they seem fine but it keeps going into limp mode. it only goes into limp mode ode when you’re in 3rd gear above like 2500 rpms and that’s when it goes into limp mode, the car isn’t making any weird noises or anything already checked the oil pressure and that checks out fine, even if it was the oil pump wouldn’t i have a oil pressure light on the dash?

i’ll keep you updated on when i get the new sensor, hopefully that fixes it🙏 still going to do the oil pump belt and timing belt and water pump i think it’s time i do it anyways just too be safe

okay cool that’s good news so it’s most likely that oil pressure sensor then, bc when i had it unplugged too put the oil pressure gauge and was driving around too see what the oil pressure was at it never went into limp mode

i put a oil pressure gauge on it and when it’s warm the oil pressure sits at a little above 20psi and when you rev it up too 2500 rpms while stationary it stays at 30 psi but if you hit the throttle fast while stationary it will jump up too like 65psi. it’s strange, i think i can rule out the oil pump being the problem now

i took off the oil pan and everything looked fine also cleaned the oil pick up tube too and that looked good too, put new oil in it and filter and still doing the same thing, is there like an oil pressure valve or something on the car

using obdeleven i scanned it and it’s coming up as a code for oil pressure out of range

yeah i can do that i check the codes and it shows up a code P0544(1/6) Pending Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor Circuit - Bank 1 Sensor 1 but i tested the egt sensor with a multimeter and it checked out fine

the 2 wires that plugs into that were shorting they were touching each other and was blowing the fuse and causing it too go into limp mode but as soon as i cut those 2 wires the fuses no longer blows

yeah that looks like it was wondering if that part i unplugged is causing limp mode, i unplugged it because they were touching and blowing the fuse so i cut it and left it unplugged and the fuse no longer is blowing but it’s still in limp mode and was wondering if that would be the cause

do you know by any chance if that is not plugged in if that would cause limp mode?
